Earwax, in general, is normal. A thin layer of earwax within the ear canal is actually protective, because it helps prevent the growth of certain fungi and bacteria. If your ear canal produces excessive earwax, this problem can be prevented by regular ear check-ups by our Audiologists. They can gently remove any excess earwax.

A diagnostic hearing evaluation is done to determine if hearing loss is present, and if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss. This comprehensive evaluation may also provide insight into the cause of hearing loss and assist our Audiologists in making appropriate treatment recommendations.
