Food has been going down hill for some time. Service isn't great either. Stood at front desk for over 10 minutes at 7:15 tonight as several employees walk by and ignore us. When someone finally came up to us we asked for a table and was told sorry we are only taking carry outs the rest of the night. Three quarters of the dining room was full. Will not be back.

Strong medium size Frozen strawberry margaritas! Get small size if your driving afterwards...... Good food, typical sit down Mexican fare, fresh guacamole appetizer was thick and chunky, I like mine thinner with more avocados, but still tasted OK. Extensive menu, lots of choices, specials everyday except Sundays.

Ordered food and found a hair in my salsa, also found plastic in my chimichanga. Was very displeased with the food and the fact that the only thing they did about it was tell me that they would tell the cooks. I also had to pay for everything and they already included the tip on my bill. Very displease with service, food, and how they treated the situation. Will not be returning.

My mom and I went here for my birthday dinner. It was crazy Saturday half hour. We asked our waiter if the drinks were half off and the waiter verified that the drinks were half off. The bill came and we were charged full price. The waiter was extremely disrespectful and rude. He told us the drinks were half off but charged full price. Our waiter gave both my mom and I a horrible attitude and was extremely rude.
Edit/add on: I appreciate your response to the concerns about the drinks, but that still means we were told differently, ordered accordingly, and payed for their mistake. In addition,

This is not authentic Mexican food. I have spent the majority of my life in Southern California and I know real Mexican food and this isn't it.
My burrito(I hesitate to call it that) was slathered with cheese on the outside and it wasn't good cheese. A burrito is meant to be grabbed with your hands not cut with a fork.
I could find 10,000 food trucks in Los Angeles that have better food. In fact, I would venture to say that Taco Bell is higher quality and Taco Bell is garbage.

We got there at 12:30, so the tail end of the lunch rush.. so they were still very busy trying to get all of those people back too work on time.. so a bit slow on ordering. We did get great chips and salsa quickly though.
The food was excellent. I ordered off the Lunch Menu... A taco, enchilada with beans.. for $7. Was expecting a smaller portion. WRONG, I left food on the plate and I am a big guy. Lots of beef in both the taco and the enchilada. They brought more chips, which was perfect for eating the delicious beans (most Mexican beans are kinda blah, but these were great. My husband had

One of the great Mexican restaurants around my area. They have a new menu so beware of the raised prices (understandable, but may not be reflected in the current menu). I would definitely ask about the actual price unless they already swapped to the new physical menu.

While visiting friends in Wisconsin I never thought I'd have great Mexican food! El Mariachi was recommended by the folks we were visiting and I have to admit I was a bit leery considering where we were - somewhere near Madison, in the middle of nowhere it seemed! But the food was really freakin' good and the waiter even made me a michelada. ¡Muy bueno! We will definitely be back if I can ever find this place again on my own. =)

This used to be a favorite, but lunch today was very uninspiring. We were happy to be seated outside immediately. The drinks came quickly, and our order was taken and served promptly. Then the wait staff disappeared, and did not come back to ask if the food was ok, or to refill drinks. Not very friendly when we paid the bill, either.
Both the burrito and taco in the Lunch #5 came with unseasoned, dry ground beef. While plentiful, it was tasteless and dry, and very disappointing. Nothing authentic about the food in this lunch. My wife had a lunch burrito, and it, too, was flavorless

Really disappointed at the customer service displayed by this restaurant. Their food is great but customer service is lacking. Twice now we have brought friends from out of town to experience the restaurant and have been treated poorly. There's no excuse for poor customer service especially in a small community town. I highly doubt I will be repeating business at this location. We have always tipped well and try to support our local businesses. It was demonstrated today that they do not support us back.

This place is closer to sliding into the abyss by the minute. Just a smile, thanks for coming or some sort of positive gesture from the staff would offset the poor service & lackluster ketchup covered mixture of what they pass off as Mexican food. It is really too bad because the people in the area like good Mexican food. Unfortunately, you won't find it here. My burrito was stuffed with what the menu said AND a lot of what was not in the menu's description..... A HOT SOUR CREAM & LETTUCE / TOMATO SLURRY SHOULD NOT BE IN THE BURRITO

This is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to north of the Rio Grande, and the ONLY one in the whole world I've ever been to that was perhaps better was a fine-dining establishment in the town of Oaxaca. Now that place served pulpo in su tinta! Look it up. Anyways, back to the establishment in question.
I was a party of one, on my way home to Madison from Oconomowoc (Man, that town needs to buy a vowel other than "o"), and I had been wanting to try this place out. I had stopped in for a margarita on a previous excursion and perused the menu. It looked promising

I am a fan, though it seemed like a bit out of the way for us, we gave this a shot. I have to say, I will gladly come back here if I'm nearby again. I had the chimichanga mazatlan and it tasted fabulous. Not too much heat on the sauce, or at least if it was that sour cream took it down to palpable. I loved it, and ended up eating the shrimp right out of the tortilla after I got through 1/2 of it, the tortilla was huge! The chicken was seasoned just right for my husband and he loved the red sauce on top of the cheese. I love the inside quaint feel and the lunch menu, omg..it's good on

Meh. It's ok. I was excited going in as it was jam packed on a Monday night and my first thought was - oooooh, how've we never been here before!?!Unfortunately, food was just ok- way too salty and a bit too greasy. Didn't love their chips, did like their salsa! Their shredded beef was good, ground beef dishes were severely lacking in flavor. Service was slow but very very nice - even if we did feel forgotten about early on. Can't say I'd rush to go back, might roll in and give a other chance if we happen to be starving in Lake Mills on a random night.

Pretty standard Tex Mex dining experience. Great location right on the square in Lake Mills. Menu has all the greatest hits for the genre. Service was a little slow and indifferent but not obnoxious. Prices were in line with expectations. Not a destination joint, but if you are in the area looking for Tex Mex, this place will do.

While presumably under the same ownership as the Watertown El Mariachi location, the ambiance and menu seems different. What's lacking is the service. It took almost no time at all to seat us. The restaurant was less than full, and in fact, had a lot of empty tables.
What took forever was for the waiter to bring chips and salsa. It then took another huge period of time to take our order.
The food came out quickly. The portions were huge and delicious. My wife ordered nachos with chicken. I ordered the five enchilada dish (one cheese, one ground beef, one shredded beef, one chicken and one

The food is really good, but the service is lacking. They are never very friendly, nobody ever seems to smile, and they're not very attentive. But the food is good, and that's why we go. The vegetarian fajita is fantastic, and we drive 25 minutes from Madison just to get it. It has different vegetables than I was expecting, including cauliflower, asparagus, broccoli and zucchini. There are more traditional ones too, like peppers and onions. I can't seem to find anything else like it around here, so it's a special treat worth the drive. My husband is a meat-eater, and he loves

It's good, but nothing really special. I wouldn't make a special trip here. I personally think Cozumel in Whitewater is better.
It was 7$ for a Margarita that honestly wasn't good at all. Had a chimichanga, again was good but would get it again. Idk was pretty mediocre.
Server that we had was really quiet and obviously did not care about being there. Customer service was not good what so ever.
