It is important to get your new koi fish into your pond quickly. Bring a cooler or bucket if you can. Feel free to browse our greenhouse and landscape plants, but make your koi fish selections at the end of your visit and get them home safely. Nothing is more peaceful than a water object in your garden.

This is probably the best quality greenhouse in Charlotte. They will actually tell you how to grow the specific plant including lighting, water, sun, ext. The owner (a female) knows absolutely everything there is to know about landscaping in general. The staff is also very informed. The quality of the shrubs is very good as a highlight, and they are about 6 indoor houses of indoor plants to choose from.

I love this place! I live in SWVA and made my first visit there on the way to the airport to pick up the family. I will be back! They have almost anything you'd be looking for - rares, uncommons, and plenty of commons. On my trip I got a beautiful McColley's that is actually throwing off an inflorescence already. Also, lots of SOT, Alocasia, etc. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

LOVE this spot!!! A friend of mine who is a "plant-aholic" introduced me. I am newer to learning and loving house plants so this was a great place to go for a variety of plants to fit what you personally can handle (low maintenance, low light, direct light, etc). It is so nice just exploring and seeing the plants and learning. Highly recommend checking out them out!

Beautiful, gorgeous, absolutely wonderful! My breath was taken away by what I was met with stepping out of the car! They have an amazing variety of plants for both indoor and outdoor landscaping and their prices are comfortable. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and super patient.
The plants are all super healthy and look abundantly well cared for.
All in all, a phenomenal experience and I will most certainly be back. I won't be getting my precious plant babies from anywhere else!

Now this is a true plant nursery!
This place is so well organized with a variety of plant children for everyone.
The single staff member I encounter was an amazing help with finding the most medium to low maintenance plants for my home. She even offered a box to help carry my plants to the car.
The cost compared to some of the newer plant nurseries popping up around Charlotte is absolutely amazing. The prices vary from $1 to $30 or so. The plants themselves looked very healthy and well taken care of.
The only downside is there isn't a great section for flowers pots but you can easily purchase

Beautiful nursery FULL of house plants and succulents! I felt so happy wandering down the long aisles admiring the beauty and health of their plants. Hanging plants, large bushy plants 6ft+ tall, fiddle leaf trees that were as tall as the green house ($600+ or so?), tiny starters potted cuttings to full pots, succulent galore and so many succulent arrangements both in pots and hanging.....it was AMAZING.
They also had Koi Ponds! Looked like prices start at $25. For pond plants, I saw water lettuce. They also had outside plants and flowers both potted and hanging, shrubs and bushes of stuff, and

Can't believe i waited to visit this place. They have EVERYTHING i was looking for. From small plant to a big plant (all the calathea). Some do sell out fast. The lady i asked was very knowledgeable. I cant wait to come back ang get more. They do also have pots for sale. They have instagram and post some of new plants they get. They have terrarium and succulent selections too.

Such a beautiful nursery with lots to choose from! The greenhouse was huge with a wide selection of succulents, herbs, indoor and outdoor plants. It was dog friendly so I brought my pup and we had a grand time. The owners were so welcoming and kind, offering water to my dog immediately. They were also very cautious and made sure everything was sanitary because of COVID. Definitely will be coming back!

I am new to owning plants and was recommended this place by a buddy who owns many plants. The place was very easy to find and had a ton of different plants. Marla was extremely accommodating and helpful the moment I got out of my car. Marla helped me pick the perfect plant and recommended a lot of other plants as well. She told me how to care for the plant I picked, when to water the plant, how much sunlight it needed, etc. It was a great environment and I am looking forward to coming back soon.

Absolutely LOVE this place! If you're a plant mom and live in the area you should definitely check this place out. There is sooo much to look at, so many plants you could be there for hours. All of the plants are well taken care of, there are signs to tell you what kind of plant it is and with the price so you're not left guessing how much it is. This place is way bigger than I thought and the customer service is great! I'm assuming the owner was the one that asked us multiple times if we were doing okay or had any questions which I appreciated! I found the plant I was looking for

Unplant related: I popped a tire on the way to the greenhouse and the wonderful lady in the front immediately intervened and got another coworker to help pump air into the tire, and when that didn't work, he changed the spare tire for me with no hesitation. We tried to offer him money for his time and kindness - and he refused and just asked us to keep coming back to buy more plants. DEAL. Amazing people!

I use to shop for houseplants exclusively online or in big box stores. Never again! Oakdale is AMAZING for house plant enthusiasts such as myself. I originally came for a monstera delicosa and left with two other wishlist plants, a black cardinal philodendron and a Hoya krimson princess. These three plants would have easily costed me $130 or more from an online shop, but I only spent a total of $46. It was hard to leave this place and even harder not to buy more of their beautiful plants. They also have a huge collection of succulents! The clerk gave me helpful tips on how to care for my hoya too

I'll start this out by admitting that this is my first real nursery experience, but I was completely blown away by the selection! I'm a huge fan of succulents and I used to purchase them at the metrolina expo, since they closed I'd started purchasing all my plants at home depot & lowe's but I've continuously been disappointed by the quality of the plants.

I looked all over Charlotte for an Aloe Vera plant and a friend suggested Oakdale Greenhouses. I stopped by after work and I asked the lady working there (she was watering the plants, at the time) if they sold any and she told me "Yes, we do!" And immediately stopped what she was doing to assist me. I was happy and very pleased with her customer service! She was very friendly and seemed to be happy to get a little break and welcomed my questions considering I was the only customer there.
