Bruce Chadwick was born and raised in Midland, Texas and his love for aquatics began at an early age. During his junior high and high school years, he began competitive swimming on the City of Midland swim team and then later on his high school varsity swim team. Bruce thoroughly enjoyed the television series SEA HUNT with Lloyd Bridges as ex-Navy frogman Mike Nelson.
So when one of Bruce's high school swim teammates brought his scuba unit to a workout, Bruce didn't hesitate to take a puff from the regulator. Bruce's has had a love for compressed air ever since. Another one of Bruce's childhood passions is magic tricks and stage illusions. As a Comedy Magician, Illusionist, and Sleight-of-Hand Artist, Bruce has made the trade his full-time vocation for over 30 years.

Services
This is the basic entry level diver training course so that divers can dive and acquire equipment from virtually any dive operator in the world. There are three phases of learning. Knowledge Development comes first to learn the basic principles of scuba diving. Students read the Open Water Diver textbook (included in the course fee), watch the Open Water Diver Videos, and take simple exams.
Scuba Bruce Diving periodically plans dive trips to both local and exotic locales such as the Florida Keys, Cozumel, Bonaire, Roatan, and other Caribbean destinations. My wife, daughter and I wanted to get certified for PADI Open Water Diving for an upcoming trip. However, my daughter is a high school student, a volunteer firefighter and extremely active at church. I was afraid that working around her schedule would be a problem. This was reaffirmed when I called a few local scuba shops. However, Bruce was able to work around our schedule and get us certified quickly. Our class size was small and the instruction was top notch. Bruce is a great teacher and is extremely patient. The team at Scuba Bruce Diving is top tier. I completed my advanced open water certification today and all I can say is wow. They have made me way more comfortable in one of my chosen hobbies and I have learned so much more to increase my diving skills. I will continue to work with the company to progress my diving evolution.

Scuba Bruce was a great find. He worked with our schedule and if you have ever tried to schedule yourself and 2 teenagers with full summer schedules to get through the certification process, well its a challenge.
Bruce worked with us to get schedule the classroom portion and the pool dives (at our pool) for the few times that worked best for us. He was also able able to schedule our lake open water dives on the one weekend that we had free before our trip to Guam.

A great and fun experience! Bruce is a wonderful and patient teacher with a passion for the subject matter. His classroom and in-water instruction is full of anecdotes from his experiences of being a life-time diver. His experiences reinforce why you are there in the first place! I enjoyed every bit of the process and plan on obtaining further Scuba certifications from Bruce.

I signed-up for my Advanced Open Water training on a dive trip from a well known scuba shop in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, my instructor was more interested in enjoying his vacation than teaching, and so he subcontracted my training to Bruce Chadwick. Bruce did a phenomenal job, teaching me with patience and clarity. He corrected many of the problems I struggled with from my Open Water certification by the first company.
Bruce owns Scuba Bruce Diving, the only scuba instruction company I will recommend in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

As a 27 year police officer, I expect quality instruction. Bruce was an excellent instructor! Same cost as the scuba shops, but personal instruction at a much less student to instructor ratio. My son was in for only 5 days and he worked it out to provide us the full PADI certification. If you are interested in scuba with a great instructor please see Bruce. Me, my daughter and son were recently certified and we could not have wished for a better instructor. I plan on continuing my scuba training and will rely on Bruce to provide that quality instruction!!

My open water diving experience with Scuba Bruce was excellent. As an experienced Divemaster and scuba instructor, Bruce is knowledgable, accommodating, and genuinely funny.
The four open water dives took place at Twin Vee Key, in Weatherford, TX. Naturally, the Texas scuba park is no tropical island paradise, but it made for an interesting training facility, complete with a sunken school bus and boat. If you have the slightest desire to learn to scuba dive, I highly encourage you to call Scuba Bruce and dive on in...the water's great!
