Michael Krizek is a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist and a graduate from the State University in New York. Michael Krizek is also Board Certified, with the National Certification Board. He has worked in both private practice and adult health care facilities in NY as well as NC. His advanced training in Musculoskeletal injuries, Pre-post operative scar tissue rehabilitation, Lymphatic drainage (MLD),S ciatica, and upper and low back pain issues.
Medical Massage adopts the medical terminology, medical techniques and medical protocols used by the traditional allopathic, medical systems of health care. Over the years there has been a large amount of scientific research supporting the many beneficial effects of medical massage therapy. Medical Massage therapy focuses on the problematic issues relating to muscuskeletal issues causing chronic and acute pain issues.
After 16 sessions of Medicupping Vacuum Therapy patient had full range of motion and a reduction of edema. Before and after radical mastectomy ( 14 sessions) were needed to make this change. Now the aesthetics look better but the real importance of what is here is the client has the ability to turn her upper body without feeling a pulling from the scar which was left by the surgical procedure.

My primary Doctor referred me to Mike after I mentioned issues with scar tissue in my shoulder area from three breast surgeries in the past seven months. An amazing experience! I have (soon to be “had”) a large surgical scar on my abdomen, and have developed adhesions. After an MRI showed that I had frozen shoulder, I eventually turned to Mike for help. I saw immediate results from the first session and continue to improve. Mike's knowledge of the body is evident in the treatments that he provides. He is passionate about his work and helping heal people. For a long time after going through treatments with different therapists for a spine condition and sciatica, I finally found Mike. From the very first treatment I began to feel an improvement to my pain around my waist and also in my leg pain caused by sciatica. After each treatments, eight so far, I left pain free and have began feeling better every day. I've also resumed some physical activities such as walking and stretching exercises, which now I can do daily in the mornings and afternoons.

Best massage I’ve ever had! Hawk Ridge Therapeutic really focuses on you as an individual, whether it be chronic pain, reducing scarring, muscle spasms, or just increasing flexibility. My neck pain has always… been something that restricts me from doing certain things, and after an hour session with Mike, I felt like a weight had been lifted. The medical massage techniques they use are second to none and like nothing I had seen before. I felt a huge difference in my range of motion and that was just after one visit. I wish I lived down here so I could go back!!

I scheduled a massage with Jane because of tightness in my back. She was very thorough in questioning me about my needs and issues I had before she began. Thinking I was going to get a regular massage, Jane asked me if I ever had cupping. I said no and she went over in detail what that involved. She asked if I wanted to try it since there were areas in my back and shoulder area that would benefit from it. She was correct. I felt great afterwards. My muscles felt so much more relaxed. Jane is very kind and caring. she is very attentive to what you need. I would definitely go back to Hawk Ridge.

After only 1 visit, the day after I was walking down Main Street and passed by store window. I looked and my neck was upright and my shoulders back. This may not mean much to most, but my neck and shoulders have had my posture slumped for YEARS! Mike helped that in 1 HOUR! If you're looking for massage businesses, it's not a chain/company business, where the massage is based more on ambience; Mike, on the other hand HEALS the sources of the problem, whereas most may alleviate temporary issues that last a day or so.
