Youth Camps For Christ
Camp Willow Run is an interdenominational Christian camp located on Lake Gaston in northeastern North Carolina. The camp is built on a unique railroad theme using actual boxcars that have been converted into heated and air-conditioned dormitories. An authentic 1911 steam engine and caboose complete the train.

The three-fold purpose of Camp Willow Run is to win youth to Christ, help mature those who are already Christians and demonstrate that you can be a Christian and have fun. Every effort is made to ensure a safe, action-filled experience for each camper. The Christian lifestyle is demonstrated by a carefully selected staff and taught through Bible study, devotions, music, and times of personal interaction.
Services
Owned and operated by Youth Camps for Christ, Inc., Camp Willow Run is a non-profit, interdenominational Christian camp and retreat center located on beautiful Lake Gaston near Littleton, NC. Built on a unique railroad theme, Camp Willow Run began in 1968 as a day camp and opened as a co-ed residential camp in the summer of 1970.
Once you have spent a summer working at Camp Willow Run you have joined the CWR family. As CWR staff alumni, we have seen the way the Lord works powerfully in us and through us in this place. Year after year staff share testimonies about the impact that their time at CWR has had on them. Our staff alumni are important to us and we want to stay connected.
We would like to add another benefit to working on summer staff by taking advantage of the wide network of staff alumni to create a Jobs Connections Directory. This directory will be a link that can help connect staff alumni with those who can be a resource or mentor for a particular career field or job position.
Robbie has served on full time staff since 1995. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.S. in Business Management. Robbie received his MBA from Campbell University. Christian camping has been very influential in his life as he attended Camp Willow Run as a camper from grades 3-12 and served on summer staff.
That the Holy Bible was written by men wholly inspired of God, and is the perfect treasure of Heavenly instruction. That man, created in a state of holiness under God, fell into the bondage of sin through the temptation of Satan.

That salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the atonement of our sins by the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the Holy Spirit was born of the Virgin Mary and took upon him our nature, yet without sin, truly God and truly man. That the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel, and upon repentance and faith, all true believers endure to the end by the power of God.

This is a truly special place. The counselors are incredible, the lake is beautiful - especially at sunset - and the speakers are good. Be mindful that while CWR is interdenominational most speakers tend to be Southern Baptist, and the camp is true to the mission it outlines on the website. That being said, I'm so thankful to CWR for all the fun times, good memories, and ultimately introducing me into a relationship with God.

My son has gone 2 years in a row now and is scheduled to attend this year as well. He's able to go with 3 other buddies and share the same train car. Great time, still in touch with his counselors from previous years, and has created long-term relationships with his friends.

Great camp and very orderly. Counselors and office staff friendly. This is a Christian camp that focuses on tweens and teens across North Carolina and the Southeast. Camp counselors are respectful. Managed very well.
