Step through our front door and step back in time. This store has served East Texas as a hardware Store and a General Store since the 1870's. Enjoy the authentic atmoshpere, put a nickel in the juke box, sip on a root beer float, play a game of checkers and cool your heels.

We have lots of neat stuff to look at and buy. 5 cent Coffee, Soda fountain, handmade Pecan Pralines, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Old-Time Candy Counter, Texas Jams, Jellies, and Salsas, Texas Souvenirs, Old Time toys, T-Shirts, Hats & Caps, Candles, Texas Music, Books, Greeting Cards, Antiques, and Lots More.Built in the 1860's, the building where the Jefferson General Store currently resides has a long history of serving the people of Jefferson.

This place is amazing! And yes they still sell coffee here for a nickel! Any kind of preserves you can get there from jams to seasonings, you just have to see it!

This is a really fun store! There are old time candies and sodas. A working soda fountain. Kids items, clothing items, books, jams jellies, soaps, candles. You really have to spend some time and look around

We LOVE this place!! From the cool hats and t-shirts to the old fashioned candy counter to the funky kitchen finds - you must take the time to visit the Jefferson General Store when visiting Jefferson, Texas! They have a fantastic selection of one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone you know! I especially love buying gifts here - for myself!! They carry Greenwich Bay Trading Company soaps - which has an amazing line of herbal soaps packed with ingredients perfect for healthy skin and they smell terrific! If you can't find it at the Jefferson General Store, it probably doesn't exist.

Neat little 'got a bit of everything' store. Pretty neat. My grandma used to frequent places like this but now, its a rare thing. Go check it out.

Amazing & magical store!!! If you don't live close by it is worth the drive. Very unique place with something for absolutely everyone. There is no other place like this, it's like stepping back in time. Try their mouth watering pecan pralines or some of their yummy candy or preserves! Or honey butter. I could go on & on & on about this wonderful place. The pictures are from my son's very first trip to the General Store & one from after the Christmas parade in 2020. Will be visiting once again tomorrow afternoon!

Very interesting store, employees are nice, so many unusual items. It was very hot the day we were there and they let us bring our dogs in. Of course they were secured in their pet stroller.
Only store that did this.
