Mel made my experience from start to finish so enjoyable! She is professional, friendly and very thorough. She explained every step of the coloring process to me and the purpose of each product. I have never felt so informed and educated while getting my hair done. The Throne is it’s own little getaway and you leave feeling the the very best version of yourself! I can’t wait for my next appointment :)

So great. i have naturally curly hair, and a lot of salons i have gone to for a blowout doesn’t give quality results — my hair after i wash it tends to loose the curl pattern i have and/or the blowout doesn’t hold well ; at Throne, none of that was experienced. i got my hair done on a friday night , and it lasted me all the way until the following friday — it could of lasted longer, but i don’t like going too many days without washing my hair. my roots stayed straight the entire time and even made it through 3 power flow yoga classes, so even through sweat. I am posting this to help people make an informed decision. I went to Throne and got all over highlights and my ends trimmed. The final result was supposed to be ash blonde with all over cool highlights - no red or yellow tones. I have baby fine hair so I wasn’t expecting to look like Farrah Fawsett. I’m posting pictures of the end result. It cost almost $500.00 and the owner does expect a tip.

For years I tried to highlight my hair only to walk out of salons with an orange brassy mess! I would go back and they would add some toner, which would help for a few days and wash out. Then I would try another hair salon and repeat! You name any high end hair salon in Raleigh and I assure that in my 20 years of living in NC - I tried them!! I understand it’s a challenge to lighten dark hair and not expect it to pull red. But if Jlo could do it then I was going to die trying because I knew it was possible :) Kat at Throne Hair salon has achieved the impossible! Totally natural looking balayage

Beautiful and amazingly talented stylist. I love going to Rachel, I always leave feeling like a hair model. You can tell she loves what she does! She is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to questions. I ONLY trust her with all my hair needs from touch ups, extensions and color to recommendations on my hair products. Anyone with extensions knows the time, effort and investment put into them. You need someone you can trust!! Nobody likes sitting in a salon with that cape on looking a hot mess, right?
