Our Story Report

Ballet Arkansas' roots can be traced back to the Little Rock Civic Ballet, founded in 1966 by Donald C. Cranford. The organization was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1979 with a dream to become the region's foremost professional ballet company, and over the course of the next 43 years, Ballet Arkansas' world-class education programs and performances would touch the lives of nearly 400,000 Arkansans.

Ballet Arkansas is an amazing organization. My daughter has been a part of the community nutcracker for the last 4 years and the dancers and staff are truly incredible. They are dedicated to their craft and the directors are working hard to bring ballet to a much wider audience. We are truly blessed to have a company of this caliber in our city!

I have been a dance instructor at DAU for eight years and absolutely love it! This studio is really first-class: knowledgable instructors, helpful staff, supportive parents and amazing and dedicated dancers. The studio offers a great environment for the serious and recreational dancer.

The new website design is intriguing, captivating, and made me want to subscribe to the ballet. The photography is absolutely beautiful. The upcoming performances will appeal to children and adults which should be a most valuable marketing tool.
