Mary Leto, born Mary Dino, was born in 1916 in a wood framed house that still stands in Ybor City on 19th Street.
Mary's father, Antonio Dino, arrived in Ybor City in 1896 from Sicily at age 15 following the American Dream. He came with his 17-year old sister, Rosalie. He started rolling cigars in the cigar factory and eventually bought some land and some cows and opened a little dairy farm. A few years later, he met and married Theresa, Mary's mother.

I won’t use any other A/C service. Independent Air technicians let me know when they are on their way and arrive on time, are professional, do a thorough cleaning and inspection, and I’ve not had any issues since I signed up for their biannual servicing. My usual technician, Jerry, is knowledgeable, helpful, and easy to have around. They are tops in my book!

I want to say thank you to everyone I spoke with and worked with at Independent AC. I just started a new job on Monday after being out of work for 4+ months and my AC decided to go out on Sunday before my first day of work. I called in on Tuesday and they didn't have an appointment in the morning until the next Tuesday, but when I told the sweet person on the phone my AC was not working, she made some calls and said someone would come out that night after I got off work at 6:30 pm. Joe came and provided me with a quote and explained what needed to be done after I got off work. I accepted the proposal

After I purchased my home a few years ago I wanted to get the AC serviced. I asked a friend who suggested Independent Air. Glad he did because Independent is a local I believe family owned reliable company. From scheduling to the tech everyone seems attentive and willing to help. I would 100% recommended to anyone. The only ac company that actually took into account size of house, how many windows, and sun exposure of house when replacing ac instead of just sq footage. Does very thorough yearly maintenance. Service tech. Corey is terrific.

Wonderful job, Earnesto showed up on time and did an amazing job on our AC. He was able to make recommendations for us and install a much better float switch that was needed for our system. Excellent workmanship, and very professional. He truly performed the cleaning and maintenance on our system as if it was his own. I highly recommend and we will be calling on Independent Air Conditioning Inc for all of our future maintenance and AC needs. Thank you

We have received fabulous service and support with Independent Air with Joe and Pete Leto. We moved from California to Florida 7 years ago and found out how important great service and support for your HVAC system is here. We tried several companies and were underwhelmed until we found Independent Air. What a difference it makes to have them take care of all of our HVAC needs. Amazing company! I have been with them ever since I relocated into my current residence and I have not been disappointed. Everyone from Joe to Marlena to Shakori have been absolutely incredible. They are reasonably priced and I have yet to see customer service like theirs. The techs are knowledgeable, punctual and thorough. I would recommend this team without hesitation.

Not only did they show-up on time, the service tech was extremely professional and did a thorough service without trash-talking other companies or trying to up-charge me on frivolous services.
