What a joy it is to shop for family and friends at Hibernation Hearth and Home. Their home goods are varied and elegant. It is a wonderful place, any time of year, to find just the right gift. Liz and Dwayne (and staff) are gracious and helpful. Gifts are wrapped beautifully, ready to hand to a family member or friend.

Horrible service!! If your not spending thousands they won't even call you back. A few years ago Hibernation installed our wood stove. I recently replaced my heater which is on the roof next to my wood stove chimney and the new heater is larger than the old one causing exhaust from stove to go right into heater. I want to extend the pipe a little to clear the heater.I went into store and asked Elisabith about it and was told to send them some pictures. I did that 10 days ago. Numerous emails and they don't respond. If they are too busy to do it at least a return call back would be nice

Absolutely the BEST. Their service on our Spa and on our Lopi wood burning stove has been superb. I LOVE shopping here. I'm concerned Hibernation has lost their way a bit. I've recently had two experiences that made me feel like I was being evaluated based on my perceived income level. The people that come to your home and service your stove are not the issue, rather the sales associates that show up as cold, judgmental, and have even spoken down to me. I thought my first recent interaction was a one-off, but after the same experience a second time, it feels like this might be a newer and entitled sales team. I think I would like the owners to know that Sonora is the wrong place to behave in this manner

Several years ago I went to Hibernation because it had "great customer service" and it was local. I purchased the top of the line Hearthstone Pellet Stove with full electronics for $8200. It was the centerpiece of my living room. From the day it was delivered it has never worked. I had to have them come out right after delivery to start making adjustments. The first year and a half they did nothing but replace "warranty" parts and the stove never worked. I finally decided to just go to turning it manually on and off. That gave me about three weeks of fires before it went down again. They do have

We had a Lopi wood stove for 33 years. We are retired now and didn't want to deal with the mess of wood. We just bought a Lopi Deerfield New Iron Pellet stove. We love it. The owners are great! They were very professional and took good care of us. We give them 5 stars because their work was excellent and owners wonderful to deal with.

We built a new house in Groveland and needed two fireplaces and a free standing fireplace stove. Hibernation was recommended by our contractor and we couldn't be happier. We wanted local sales, support and installation and found that and so much more with Hibernation. After basic install we made a small design changes that required slight chimney change...quick call and they were back out. Great prices, service and support as well a knowledgeable and friendly staff.

I own a home in Bear Valley, CA. My home's primary heat are 2 Fireplace Xtraordinair units. My closest dealer is in Arnold, CA. But the Arnold dealer is so rude and difficult I had to bring my business to Sonora.

Wow! The customer service here is beyond anything I have ever experienced! My gas insert is not from there and is not a brand that they carry or service. You would think that the story would end here, but it doesn't. I was given the phone number for their technician and talked with him. They were able to confirm the issue with my fireplace and walk me through how to fix it. I was willing to have them come fix it, but the tech felt certain that I could do it on my own. After a couple more phone calls and me again expressing that I would be more than willing to pay to have them come fix it I

I went wood stove shopping without my husband, who was against the idea at first. The sales staff at Hibernation took the time to explain the differences in stoves, and they pointed me in the direction of what I needed. I took my husband back to the store with me, and even after shopping all around the area, we came back to Hibernation to purchase our stove. We have been very happy. Had an old propane stove in my cabin that just wouldn't stay lit. Searched and found this place in Sonora. Drove up from the bay area to talk with them about potential repairs or replacement. This place is very discreet in a little strip mall. Pay attention or you'll drive right by. I expected maybe a glorified hardware store selling gas and propane stoves and parts. I walked into a charming little store filled with many beautiful little stoves. It was right around the holidays, cold outside. The place was warm, cozy and festive - a cinnamon and pine scent filled the air. It was so inviting

Had to replace a wood stove and wanted a quality unit. You can pic up cheapo stoves at Lowes or wherever, but the quality of construction, efficiency, etc are quite poor. Plus the service is non-existent, and that's critical if you are buying a stove you want to count on for decades.
The folks at Hibernation Home were super friendly, knowledgeable and took time with us even when they were busy. We made three visits trying to decide and learned a lot in the process. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because we could have used more advice on appropriate sizing of the stove
