Family values of honesty and integrity are still the foundation of all our business activities. We are Colorado's oldest auction company, which means our experience and knowledge are unsurpassed. We are also the first Colorado auction company to embrace the future by conducting an Internet auction with live online bidding.
Our goal is to achieve the highest market value for you. The combination of auction services and appraisal services, allows Ross Auction to provide the most comprehensive asset liquidation approach for our clients. Our goal is to achieve the highest market value for you, whether it is one item, an entire estate or business liquidation.

Services
Ross Auction, family owned and operated since 1921, has been the standard of integrity in the auction and appraisal business in Colorado for 95 years. After Marie Ross retired in 1998, Ross Auction continued under the ownership of Bill and Paula Neal. In 2016, Bill and Paula's nephew, Thomas Langeland and Jason Langeland purchased the business to carry on the family tradition.
I absolutely LOVE this place! One of the best kept secrets in Colorado Springs! Furniture, jewelry, antiques, art, oddities, even things I didn't even know I needed can be found here. I've purchased so many awesome items it's hard to pick my favorite. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff!
Or do you need an estimated value of items you want to sell or divide with others? Are you an individual, an estate planning professional, or a non-profit group in need of experts to appraise fine arts or other valuables? Would you like assistance with establishing a fair asking or buying price for your items or items in an estate?
Ross Auction sells all items on consignment. Selling items on consignment is different than selling items in a retail store. When your items sell we split the proceeds which means you aren't charged any advertising, unpacking, or selling fees. We sell everything at auction to the highest bidder. Items can be consigned and dropped off with an appointment.
We want to make sure our clients have the best and least stressful experience when liquidating their estates. We have found that it is less stressful on the consignor to have their items sold at our location. This is also helpful with our clients knowing that we have weekly sales at our Retail location, they dont have to drive all over town looking for the next sale.

Ross sent my 3D printer in the mail with 15 pounds of an unspecified "packing material," costing me an extra $230 on shipping. When the 3D printer arrived, it was damaged beyond operation - the extruder was dangling by its electrical cords, the base had a foot broken off, and a motor had gone slack. And what was the mystery packing material, that I paid $230 to have shipped with my machine? Dog urination pads, that's right, puppy pads. Not Styrofoam, the most popular shipping material on earth, which would have held everything rigidly in place during shipping - they charged me $230

Fun to attend in person or to buy items online. The personnel do a great job taking pictures of the items, and presenting them during the live auction. The atmosphere is fun to be around, and it is fun and addicting to win the auction of an item listed. You have to ensure that you check the condition of the item(s) you want to bid on, because many times you find after you bought it that it is broken or defective.

I won two collectibles from Ross Auction Inc (in Colorado Springs CO) on two different occasions. Both items were Hummel’s porcelain pieces, dimensions were 4” and the second piece was 4.5”. Yet the first item had a shipping cost of $15.14 and the second cost $25.80. The first box dimensions were 6” x 6.5” x 6.5” and the second box (there were two boxes, one inside the other) 8.5” x 5.5” X 2” inside a box measuring 12” x 12” x 6”. I may suggest before placing a bid with Ross Auction Inc ask yourself would the shipping prices be worth it since they use the Postal Annex for

So I found out how this business works, so hopefully you read this before doing business with this place.
1) They do not catalog the items that you bring in so be sure to photograph any items that you are going to take in, then, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, take a picture of the person that takes the items from you proving that what you gave them on consignment is recorded.
2) They will give you a receipt, BUT, it will not have everything listed. Ask them to itemize everything that you just gave, but don't be surprised if they won't.
3) The contract that you sign states (Without Reserve

I've been going to Ross Auction for years. It's great. Thomas and Jason are patient and really try to get sellers the best price possible. I will say you need to do your research. If you have a very expensive piece of furniture be aware that the resale value just isn't there at an auction and a consignment shop may suit you better. Although I've sold many items and received a fair price. I think many sellers have unrealistic expectations. As a buyer I've found many treasures for my house. I'm hooked

I foolishly gave Ross Auction a moving van full of furniture. An $8000 couch was sold for $170? I was completely swindled and wonder if my furniture really sold for what was stated. A horrible company to deal with. It took over a month to get a check after weeks of excuses of why they couldn't put it in the mail.

BEWARE!!! Wish I could give 0 stars!! DO NOT trust your valuables to this business!! I consigned an item (valued at $2200) due to moving out of state. They assured us they would get a very good price for it. After waiting SEVERAL months, I received a check for a whopping $31 after commission. Ross Auction accepted a $50 offer. Yes. $50!! I have since alerted the Colorado Attorney General's Office & the BBB notifying them of Ross Auction's fraudulent practices. BEWARE of this business.

Horrible experience! Selling with Ross Auction was the biggest mistake. We had a whole 30 ft moving truck full of furniture (much of it mid-century which is currently popular): lamps, beds, chairs, Italian paintings, etc. and got less than a $500 for all of it after paying for the moving. Almost everything was sold for $5 which is absolutely ridiculous and nothing like what was implied when they came to the house to walk through and give us a sense of what our things would go for at auction. Lies! There were also a couple of particularly unusual pieces that we were told would be put in a special

I'd never been to Ross before and found myself with nothing to do on a Saturday morning. I quickly got up to speed with the format and checked out things I could be interested in bidding on. I found other bidders ran some of the prices up to beyond the value of the item. I wasn't willing to overpay for anything, so I didn't buy much. I was disappointed when the auctioneer added items to the one box I was determined to get. It caused more people to bid, and I paid for items that weren't part of the lot and now just take up space in my garage until I determine what to do with

Very disappointing! Wish I'd paid more attention to the reviews regarding the sellers side of this auction house. I had used Ross back in 2007....and all I can say is, it's changed.
I recommend you list on Craig's list, have your own sale or just donate & take a tax write off. Unbelievable! So sad that great furniture items sold for $5.00....and as a seller I received $2.50! Great place to shop, I guess. Don't take your items here....sell them yourself!

It's too easy to succumb to the bidding frenzy at Ross Auction. I'm superstitious about a lot of used goods having bad juju, but I found myself bidding for oddities like animation sericels and trays of gems and minerals.
Don't got to a Ross Auctions expecting ambiance. This is a dirty, drafty warehouse space that smells like a garage. A lot of what you see looks like another man's treasure. Still, just sitting and watching the auctions is an interesting experience. The auctioneer is fast talking and gets the crowd revved. The people who work behind the desk and on the floor
