Located over Hwy. 385, it became the perfect spot for families and friends to meet and enjoy the authentic taste of Mexico after a workout time. We are a family oriented mexican restaurant, enjoy our mouthwatering appetizers, traditional fajitas and fabulous nachos topped with queso dip! For the grownups we feature a great selection of top shelf margaritas to enjoy a game with your friends!
A grilled T-bone steak served in a bed of onions, bell peppers and tomato with rice, beans, tortillas and guacamole salad. Two soft tacos with thin sliced steak and onions, with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and rice. Order of flour rolled corn tortillas, two beef, two chicken deep fried and served with lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes and sour cream.

When I am in the mood for Mexican, El Jinete is always one of my top go to restaurants! Service is always top shelf, their menu has anything you could want, prices are about average for the area, portions are large. They have multiple locations and I have found the food to be consistent from restaurant to restaurant. Parking has alway been plentiful, well lit and I have felt safe from car to front door.

This place has been underrated! This is one of my husband & I's favorite quick places to eat near by. They are not bothered by special drink or food orders. I love how their fajitas aren't super oily like a lot of other places. They take special care every time we dine in. I love the shrimp & chicken fajitas & marg

So el jinete mexican restaurante is the place to go if you want a good amount of food for an amazing price. The food here is simple in presentation but kills it in the taste. The menu is full of grate options that very in price but regardless of the price the amount of food makes up for the price. Our server philippe was amazing he went above and above to make sure our dining experience was top notch thank you. No down sides to my experience here.

COVID-19 Update
We threw caution to the wind -- well, not really -- by eating AT the restaurant vs our usual Saturday night take-out. At 4:45 (kinda early for dinner) the patio was empty, which prompted us to stop.
While sitting there a good number of people -- NOBODY wearing masks -- showed up to dine inside. An employee came out to deliver food to a woman at the curb. They were face-to-face, neither wearing masks.
If you think I'm overly cautious, please note that there were 4,000 new cases of Covid in Atlanta on Friday, as well as big numbers the rest of the week.

I came here for lunch. It was good. I have no complaints.
The inside isn't as nice as the other El Jinete's I have been to. A couple decades past needing an update. The chips and salsa were very good. They had some heat to them and a good body (not too watery). The lunch fajitas were delicious with a generous portion. The beef in them was so tender and juicy. Some of the better beef fajitas I have had. The servers and employees were very nice and attentive here.
The only issue is the inside doesn't feel inviting like their other locations. With another location just a few miles

Excellent personalized service. They were lacking in nothing tonight. Food was above average with a small little twist on what I had ordered and it was very good. Price was shout average for the neighborhood. Portions were just the right size and server was very attentive and never let me run out of chips, salsa or my drink. With all the choices of Mexican in the area I will be back

Called in a simple order, waited the 20 min I was told it would take, showed up and had to Re-order my food. Waited 30 more minutes and at this point I still do not have my food. I don't know how it tastes, but I would never do this again. All they have here is excuses and offered no reparations at all.

It's amazing when the service staff recognizes you and brings you your beverage without even asking.
This is the place.
The Bride and crew, including me, go to the nail salon 3 or 4 doors down and we finish off by hoisting a maragarita afterwards. We have never been disappointed.
The food is fresh and wonderful and the service fantastic.

I used to come here all the time. The time before this one the manager[?] came up to our table in boardshorts and was very odd. When my friend asked for silverware they brought her a plate of sour cream and later CHARGED HER FOR IT.
Despite that we decided to give this place another try today for lunch.
I ordered my oId favorite from their brand new menu - huevos rancheros.
After ordering I noticed the pepper sign next to the name (very odd because I've had it a lot from this restaurant and it wasn't spicy before) and quickly asked our waitress if that meant it was spicy. She said

We usually always come here and never have an issue with our food until tonight. I had ordered a quesadilla and guess I didn't see the memo that it's buried under queso? Well what I wanted inside the quesadilla didn't have exactly what I wanted anyway so I sent it back because the presentation was awful. Not only that, but I requested for my food to come with the side plate that has the rice and beans with the side salad (with lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, etc.) INSTEAD my waiter charged me individually for everything. So for those sides alone came out to be $10-$11...really?
