Amish millers located seven miles from us choose, cut, and hand-sort wood specifically for us. They know exactly what we want. As soon as our wood is cut we shove it in the kiln and dry it at a lower moisture content than anybody out there. Our planer runs slower than most of the others in the wood industry.

It's easier, because we can have a dialogue. We can talk about why - from a contractor's perspective - an eight-foot log is easier to work with than a 16-foot log and looks just as good. We can talk about the various woods and end-matching and why we happen to think Northern Michigan timber is just a little bit better than anywhere else.
Your home, log cabin or tiny cabin will look amazing with the log siding we kiln-dry to perfection. Our moisture content is well below almost any other wood in the industry: between 7-12% depending on the type of wood. If you want the look of a full log home - inside or out - but cringe at the price tag, our half log siding with a hewn finish may be just for you. Hewn log siding gives the hand-peeled look. Our premium wood siding also can be used in unique interior applications in log homes, log cabins - and homes with no log siding.

I live in NC but ordered from WoodHaven due to the availability of lumber when no one else in the country had what I was looking for. Thank goodness I did. From the superb customer service to the quality of the lumber every part of this transaction was first class. Not one board was crooked or scratched or less than perfect. There was zero waste as a result of this. In fact, I figured in a waste % so I had plenty left over for another project. We've dealt with these guys for many years to panel our floors and walls of our cabin. we recently placed another order for wood paneling for another project and got our signals crossed on the delivery date, which had the potential to delay the project. david went out of his way to meet us half way and deliver what we needed, and the job got done. always excellent material with these guys, as well.

We did a huge room with their "budget board". If this is "budget" I cannot imagine what their idea of "premium" would be. It is absolutely beautiful. The tongue and groove on all sides of the paneling made it a dream to work with and we were amazed at how quickly and easily everything fit together. I highly recommend the budget board.

Woodhaven produces top quality building supplies for log homes. They are a customer oriented friendly company that does whatever they can to assist their clients. They offer a wide range of wood and log products and are able to special order some items that are not produced on site.
