From Underbutler's founder, Mike Kemp - It all started with our first dog, Luna, pictured here with my wife many moons ago. Luna lost her ability to travel and be boarded in her later years, needing to remain home during our adventures. The idea of unmonitored strangers assisting her when we were away didn't seem quite right.
The first home automation system was invented in London in the early 1700s. It was an elaborate system of pulls and wires that led from each room in a great house to a central bell room for the household's staff. Each wire ended with a bell on a coiled mechanical spring (our logo) labeled with the room of the house from which the wire came, allowing staff to know where attention was needed whenever a bell range.
