Balanced Pain Management
Our Mission is to Improve your Quality of Life, Independence and Freedom by controlling and minimizing your pain. Balanced Pain Management treats patients who suffer with chronic pain by using a multi- dimensional approach. We devise a plan to treat each patient's particular pain problem as well as the other disturbances which may have developed as a result of their chronic pain.

This is done by "attacking" the pain problem from all sides. In other words, the cause of the problem is treated as well as other factors which can cause the pain to be intensified. A carefully thought out plan is devised for each patient according to their unique problem. Treatment is usually in the form of a combination of therapies which include medications, pain "blocks" or injections, physical therapy and psychotherapy.

Can't imagine why all these negative reviews . Must be pain turning to anger !
Dr. Delaney has been terrific to me towards my pain, etc that I am experiencing with neuropathy and disc herniation. Always sympathetic and wanting to help alleviate my pain. I called on Monday and she fit me in for an epidural on Thursday ! Is that the behavior of a doctor that doesn't care?
If you want uncaring, go to the guy at Muir , then you'll see the difference! Didn't do anesthesia properly and the epidural was torture .

Simply the best. This woman works hard. Ive suffered with chronic pain since I fractured multiple vertebrae in my back. She has helped with new treatments and the right medications. Honestly she changed the quality of my life. I arrived a train wreck years ago, in so much pain that often I was bed ridden for a week at a time and depressed as hell. She stays on top of new options in medicine and has honestly been a godsend.

I hate to give even ONE star!!! The most absolute negligent "so called Dr" EVER!!!! No bed side manner, no personality, no compassion!! She will take you off a simple pain med and destroy you with a much more dangerous one. Stay away, that's all I can say!!!!

Don't read outdated reviews. I saw Leslie Delaney in 2013 & she was outstanding. I had very rarely contracted shingles without rash & she is one of the only physicians who stuck by me until 2016 when I was resolved from it. She used to work with my schedule, hold the office open late for me, & take urgent concerned calls. Those days are gone, though it's also worth mentioning her staff has turned over more than once in the last few years. I recently resumed treatment with her for a trapezius strain. I had an atypical reaction to trigger point injections given by her and got no concern or requests

I am most impressed with Dr Delaney's knowledge and skill in taking care of my back issues. I have worked with other pain management physicians and Dr Delaney far succeeds my experience with others in Walnut Creek!
Recently, I fell and fractured my spine. Because she has an operating suite in her office I was able to get an appointment quickly and she performed a kyphoplasty which cemented my fracture in about an hour. I left the office feeling really good!
Great bedside manner and office staff!

I have been going to Dr. Delaney for about a year now. I had 3 MILD Procedures done. With every procedure the pain level has improved. She's always been very friendly, with a smile. Spends time with me and answers all my questions. I highly recommend her,and I am a grumpy old man.

Since my last review, I've seen a new pain mgmt MD & a PT who both did comprehensive exams on me (an hour each) before beginning any treatment. Both independently said the exam showed symptoms were coming from my cervical spine, not a muscle strain. After all the below hell I went through from atypical reactions to shots from Dr. Delaney - I come to find out I didn't even need that treatment she was providing. If she'd done a real exam on me to begin with to correctly diagnose me, instead of rushing through it, I never would've been in this situation. She diagnosed both

Dr Delaney was incredibly rude when I met with her for an appointment today. I don't know what kind of patients she normally deals with, but I have severe pain due to necrotizing pancreatitis and recurrent abdominal abscesses and she was so unsympathetic as to be insulting. I was in a coma for a month on a ventilator a couple years ago and she was completely unprofessional and unsympathetic--snorting, rolling her eyes and shaking her head as if unable to comprehend the information I was trying to convey. When I mentioned that I had missed two days of events after an ERCP on Friday (because

One of the worst physician I have ever met. In a hurray. Not interested in my care. Made me wait 50 minutes. Seemed ignorant of medical issues related to history. Recommended inappropriate therapy. Poor assessment of issues. Total waste of time.

I found Dr. Delaney on yelp after my last pain management Dr was such an awful experience.
The whole time with Dr. Delaney has been wonderful. She does everything she can to help you with your pain management. She is caring, professional and I love that the epidurals are done right in her office without anesthesia .
Her staff is excellent. No waiting either. They are easy to reach for questions and call back right away with the information you need.

Have been here approximately 5 times and up until today I have typically waited a minimum of 15 minutes all the way up to over 25 minutes to be seen and I always arrive early. I find this very disrespectful especially for a pain Dr. I have no issue with Dr. Delaney's service once I am brought into my appointment and my pain has been managed fairly well. My issue is that today I was 9 minutes late and told that the Dr. would not see me because her schedule is too tight. I could understand this if I had been chronically late but that is not the case. I had a preop appt for my surgery this coming

I have been seeing Dr. Delaney since 2010 for neck and back pain that results in chronic headaches. Every one to two months, I receive trigger point injections that dramatically helps my condition. Due to Dr. Delaney's care, the frequency and intensity of my debilitating headaches are minimized and I am able to manage my pain. She is very professional and knowledgeable, and the office is well run. I highly recommend Dr. Delaney!

I have been a patient of Dr. DeLaney for several years during which time she has administered epidural cortisone as treatment for my sciatic pain. I am a physician who had had the same therapy previously by two practitioners. Both as a patient and a physician I have nothing short of the highest praise for Dr. DeLaney's expertise. She is efficient and enormously successful. I have given her name to countless fellow sufferers. As of this writing and for the past several years I am pain free.

I have been living with chronic pain for years. I have been to other larger pain facilities and they tend to treat you like cattle. Dr. DeLaney is personable and compassionate. Don't get me wrong she is strict and with opiates you have to be. Even when she insisted that we lower my pain meds, which I resisted strongly, she convinced me with patience and empathy.
Dr. Delaney helped me with various in house treatments, injections , epidurals and other spinal techniques. I should probably put this up front - her staff is great, friendly and efficient and I have never had to wait more than minutes

It all started when my clumsy self tripped and fell, using my shoulder and left side to break my fall (so clever!). After gathering myself, the pain in my upper left arm, no exaggeration, was excruciating. Upon recommendation, I visited Dr. DeLaney’s office to see if anything could be done to “fix” me (the pain I felt prevented me from swinging a golf club at all, so I knew it was serious). From the outset, Dr. DeLaney and her staff couldn’t have been more professional, helpful and gracious. Dr. DeLaney examined me in a very thorough manner, and came to the conclusion that what is called

Dr. Delaney is simply outstanding. I'm a former collegiate gymnast so my joints are breaking down and causing a lot of chronic pain. I have hip dysplasia and will likely need hip replacements but it's ideal to wait until post 50 yrs old so I was looking at many years of severe pain. Dr. Delaney came to the rescue!
We first tried a steroid injection in the joint - which I thought was going to be quite painful. However, I barely felt anything because Dr. Delaney is so careful and goes out of her way to minimize any pain.
Unfortunately, my joint is a bit of a mess and the steroid injection didn

I first starting seeing Dr. DeLaney approximately two years ago for lower back pain. My experiences with pain were, I'm sure, run of the mill for Dr. DeLaney. Nothing about my circumstances were unique. The doctor and her staff did make me feel as if I was special. That was huge for me. I was given an avenue for surgery after a successful epidural. The surgeons followed her lead with the incision.
Following the recovery Dr. DeLaney told me I should go on a diet. The nerve of her. After surgery and shedding, to this point, 30 + lbs. I can now cope much better with various and sundry aches and pains

I saw Leslie Delaney, MD for severe chronic pain. She will go through your pain and pain history. She then gives the best treatment plan for your problems. It may be or may not be prescriptions or epidurals. It will include the best options available for you.

I had seen many other Pain Management professionals prior to Leslie Delaney, MD. They were all difficult to work with or just jerks in general. Leslie treats you as a person, not a condition. When she performs procedures, she does them with care. I had several epidurals performed. When done by other pain specialists, they did not

I am absolutely baffled by any negative reviews for Dr. Delaney. If you are at the point when you are seeing a pain management doctor you need to understand that another doctor has deemed your condition to most likely never go away and now you need to find a a way to manage the pain, hence the term pain management doctor....pain management is not a magic bullet. It takes a lot of trial and error to find what works.

Dr. Delaney and staff have been absolutely awesome in trying to help me get my chronic low back and sciatic pain under control. Dr. Delaney is very professional and empathetic but
