We are a small operation and take a very limited number of clientele. We feel this insures more personalized attention and makes for a superior quality hunting experience.

Services
We've been professional hunters in New Mexico for the last 3 decades. Our specialty is providing a quality hunting experience for big game, in New Mexico's Gila and Aldo Leopold wilderness and also on our private land ranches. We specialize in trophy hunts for elk, mule deer, Coues deer, mountain lion, black bear, Pronghorn antelope, javelina, buffalo, Merriams turkey and upland birds.
We offer a variety of trophy elk hunts in New Mexico. Our New Mexico elk hunts range from our private game ranch trophy elk hunts to our horseback wilderness trophy elk hunts. These elk hunts range from 5 to 6 days depending on which trophy elk hunt you are interest in. The bulls here in New Mexico usually start rutting the first week of September and are still bugling through the middle to the end of October.
Mountain lions are considered by many to be the ultimate Western big game trophy. These big cats go by many names such as cougar, panther, puma and a few more in different parts of the country. Here in New Mexico the most common names are cougar or mountain lion. Our mountain lion hunts are primarily in southwestern New Mexico on bare ground.
My Lion Hunting Apprenticeship is designed to help less experienced hunters learn the skills of bare ground lion hunting. I don't claim to know everything and continue to learn something new every time I take my hounds hunting. However, I do have over 27 years experience in successful mountain lion hunting and can help eliminate some of the common pitfalls and mistakes.
Training a mountain lion hound is a time consuming process. Unlike coon hunting, a lion hunter may have to look for several days to find a workable lion track. Hounds are energetic and the good ones want to run something. I believe the trick is to try and focus this energy toward desired game and to not break their hunting spirit.
