Hacienda La Paloma
Now open for indoor dining! The name Hacienda La Paloma conjures Mexico, where magic & joy are a part of everyday life; a time of splendor & avant-garde; a unique art of colors & mystery. Mexican food is a ritual of flavors, aromas, colors and textures dedicated to the soul. Our intention is to rescue that authenticity, and to explore one of the most wonderful culinary niches in the world.

Remember, just because you have had a taco or enchilada does not mean you have experienced true Mexican food. It only means you have scratched the surface of Mexicos traditional culinary delights. Hacienda La Paloma is the 10th business venture run by an honest first generation immigrant family. During their 45 years in the USA, they have learned how to please their fellow Americans and share their culinary cultural heritage with them.

Service is not good... (Waiters were just standing and chatting away at the door when we needed servicing.) The steak was actually *amazing* and the ceviche was *delicious* but the service really pulls this rating down to a zero. The music played is also terrible (headache inducing)…

Great service! A bill expensive for relatively standard Mexican fare. $18 guac? Not even prepared at the table. Drink prices are in line with the area maybe even a little on the less expensive side.

Staff is really good and do care. We enjoyed our dinner certainly.

Called twice around 1:30 on a rainy friday and no answer. 3rd time was a charm as I got hold of someone, they mumbled something and I was put on hold. I've been on hold for about 11:00 minutes and am tired of listening to a recording that has static. I'm hanging up and probably going to chipotle. so disappointed.

Went here with a friend and food was delicious. ROLANDO was our server and couldn't be kinder. He was courteous, knew the menu even made a suggestion and was on point with his service. It was during lunch so it wasn't too crowded but I enjoyed the food, prices and service.

What is this in my rice? This is my 3rd and final time coming here. 1st time was 2 years ago. Food was cooked to order and very fresh and delicious. This is important to me being i have food allergies. The 2nd visit about 1 year ago, i was told they pre-season & prepare everything ahead of time. So, i was limited. I went a 3rd time and told the same thing but RUDELY. Wait staff is condescending. They dont understand question, but are rude in answering. I did love the margaritas but they keep salt and the spicy salt next to eachother which means you get spicy even if you dont order it. Last visit

I got takeout from here (Carnitas Michoacan, Taquitos al Carbon, guac&chips). The flavors were really sophisticated and delicious. While I waited for my food, I poked around. The decor is really festive, and the place looks very clean. The bar is well stocked. Outdoors is a small and lovely seating area.
The only negative (which was not their fault), was that someone nearby was using a two-stroke leaf blower to clean a commercial property, and when I left it was unbearably loud and the people outdoors looked stressed about it. Mount Kisco is considering a law to ban these blowers in summertime

Such a wonderful restaurant with a phenomenal staff that went above and beyond. My husband and I came here for dinner with our 1 and a half year old son who decided to scream the entire time. We were so stressed and about to pack our food to go when they offered to move us into a quiet room in the back and helped to entertain our son while we ate. They played peek-a-boo and brought him fruit to eat…really they were incredible. I believe he was the owner, but he was so sweet and really wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He and the staff really went out of their way and we really appreciated

Yea the cab ride home was smelly, but full were our belly! Love you babe, to many more sloppy steaks and sweaty scrabble games . Love this place. Gracias mi amigos. (Like in Mexico)

The food was delicious and in generous quantities, service was pleasant and friendly, ambiance was nice. It was just too loud for our liking but we enjoyed dinning there so much. We went on a very busy night, indoors and outdoors were packed with customers, the service was still quick and prompt. The chips and guacamole stood out, best I've ever tasted. Highly recommend 👌

We made reservations here several weeks in advance: I called the day before to confirm. But when we arrived, no one knew about our party. To top it off, the server was extremely rude to us the entire time. It's like he was pissed off at us for not knowing about our reservation: The service was just terrible. And the food was mediocre and overpriced. But the main problem here was the awful service.

Not only is that he fare delicious, but the family that owns this wonderful place makes it our favorite place in Mt Kisco. The vibe is welcoming and the staff who have been here forever ( which I believe makes them love their jobs) are awesome. Lisa, the Beautiful and her parents make sure we come back again and again. Say hi to Rénan and Arturo at the bar.

Delicious paella with chorizo, snapper, scallops, clam, mussels, omg. The salsa is also soo flavorful. Excellent margaritas, perfect amount sweetness and strength! The atmosphere is also warm, welcoming and lively.

From what I understand this place changed owners. I ordered tacos. I figured it's simple and I can enjoy a taco regardless of cooking style. What I received looked like dog meat stuffed into hard taco shells. No toppings. It was literally the same thing you would expect from an old El Paso taco dinner kit purchased at the grocery store. When I asked for cheese, they gave me mozzarella. When I asked for sauce I received mild green sauce. They claimed that was the only sauce they had. Something not right about this place at all.

Of every worldly cuisine, all of which I love, Mexican food is probably my favorite. I am somewhat of a Mexican food connoisseur/snob, and this is our go-to Mexican restaurant.
The food is phenomenal, if I were going to the electric chair tomorrow, the tampiqueña would be my last meal. The drinks were amazing, I have the sangria when I go. The salsa has a unique smokey flavor that I cannot find anywhere else. The seafood is very fresh and not fishy at all.
The atmosphere is captivating, it really does look like a Mexican hacienda. The staff is very friendly and attentive as well. If you're

Worst Mexican restaurant ever. Food took 45 minutes to be served. Three different people served us and all of them were not professional. Menu were very limited and expensive. Another table around us complained for bad service as well. The bill included gratuity for a party of two. Probably, this is why they don’t make the effort to provide a good service. Food was greasy and didn’t look fresh we didn’t eat even half of that. It’s an American - Mexican restaurant more American style menu than real Mexican food. Never again!

Really pathetic Mexican food- not sure what people love here. It's really a 2.5 but since Yelp doesn't allow half stars, I put 2 since the price is also high for Mexican food. I got chicken fajitas which didn't have much chicken but more importantly the chicken was dry and flavorless. vegetables were nice but also lacked any seasoning. No salsas were given except a tbsp of pico de Gallo and a tbsp of guacamole. The price was 24 or 25 dollars ... also I got 3 mini tortillas which was definitely not enough .

My delivery was dropped off at the wrong location and I called and politely told them that I did not receive my order. The person on the phone was extremely rude and nasty and said that he didn't know what to tell me. I order from here often and paid $20 for an empanada with delivery fees and tip.. there was no reason to be treated that way.

NOT vegan/vegetarian friendly. They use chicken broth in their rice.

The waiter we had was rude and pretty much ignored us the whole night. He was wearing all black with dark hair and glasses. As soon as I asked if they had any vegan options he seemed agitated. Then said "no we don't have vegan" and seriously walked away like I said something wrong. Ummm...I didn't realize that question was a trigger for him. LOL

We weren't sure if we would have dinner and drink or appetizers and drinks. When he told us they use chicken broth to cook the rice I knew there was nothing

We have been here many times before. This is a great, well-decorated Mexican restaurant with a warm and welcoming staff. Service is timely but relaxed and friendly. The salsa and chips are excellent, as is the made-to-order guacamole. Appetizers and main courses are all well cooked and seasoned, and desserts are excellent and authentic. We will be back!

Oh man. What happened ?

Alright, so there were three people working in the entire place. A host, a waitress, quite angry to be there, and we can only assume a cook in the back.

When we arrived, the waitress looked nothing short of upset that we had the gall to enter the restaurant. There was nobody at the host desk and nobody to seat us.

Without eye contact or words, we were indicated to sit at a table. Highlights of the meal included:

* A pretty damn good blood orange margarita, good tequila taste, made as requested.

* Fajitas, two sets. We were asked how we wanted them prepared

This place has great margaritas, tacos, chinichangas, fajitas, nachos, quesadillas, guacamole and much more. The frozen margs are also very good with a generous amount of tequila as well (not too much but enough to get you lit)

The workers are always so nice and friendly. We appreciate the great service and hard work from hacienda each time we visit.

First time here! Went with a group of 10 people! I vote this as the most authentic Mexican restaurant in northern westchester. Excellent frozen margaritas, had to have two of them (strawberry)
Appetizers suggestions: freshly made guacamole right at your table! We have two portions made for 10 of us and still plenty left! Everyone was satisfied with their meals. My friend said that it was the best beef tacos he had ever had! I had a sautéed shrimp dish with spinach and rice! They were cooked to perfection, crunchy and succulent! Other dishes like burritos, quesadillas looked amazing! By the end

From the outside its one of the most realistic and traditional Mexican restaurant in our Westchester area, unfortunately the food its not. My wife order the tacos al pastor($22) extremely expensive for 4 tacos that where not fresh, the meat was bland and the pineapple seem to be from a can, my dish had a combination of chicken, steak, cheese and chorizo all in a flavor less sauce. The 2 stars is because my kids skirt steak was very good, but not enough to go back and taste anything else.

I have past this place for years as I work nearby but never tried it. Very glad I did. Met a friend for dinner. Did not have a reservation but was seated right away. Ordered a margarita to start and it was very good. We enjoyed the chips and salsa they brought to the table ; salsa a little spicy! Food was very good and so was the service.

Service was weak. The waiter barely spoke english and had a very hard time with understanding our simple orders.

however, the margaritas were excellent as was the fajitas. the shrimp could have been larger and they were a bit skimpy with the number of shrimp.

The chips were warm and the salsa was delicious.

All in all i will return.

Nice and cozy but the food made us so disappointed,, only best part the soups are hot and spicy to heat up in the cold weather.
Taco was bad choice as the vegetarian platter was even worse.
Bread wrapped with cheese and Guacamole with beans and rice, no flavor at all.
We couldn't finished the dinner but definitely we were interested in ordering deserts
Probably I will not be visiting back here but will try other place in Mohegan Lake
