What began as a passion for Navajo-inspired jewelry in the 1970s blossomed into a full-scale fine jewelry consultancy serving clients from around the world. After I graduated from Cornell and got my start in the jewelry business, I soon found myself in a dynamic and complex industry that demanded decades of hard work before mastery could be achieved.
When we started this business, we wanted my namesake diamond company to represent two things: quality and expertise. To achieve this, we knew that we would have to work hard to find only the most sought-after diamonds but at a cost that could be acceptable for my clientele. Many factors play into the global production of diamonds with high grades in each of the four C's.
Because the wearer of each ring is unique, the ring itself should have beauty and character all its own. We make it my highest priority to ensure that each client we work with arrives at the perfect custom engagement ring design for them. After 40 years in the fine jewelry business, what we have learned is that your comfort is what is most important to the overall ring design experience.
Learning about diamonds doesn't have to be confusing and complicated. We can help by explaining the fundamentals of diamond grading: cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. These criteria are used by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the world's most reputable name in diamond evaluation and certification.
