Amber Waves Diving Co. started in 2008, with a vision to create a dive club atmosphere where divers of all levels could come to find friendly smiles, dive conversation, great training and gear at reasonable prices. The original owners knew that putting a shop in Augusta, KS and not in the middle of metro Wichita would create a difficult marketing task.

If you've always wondered what lies beneath the surface, now's the time to find out. Start the journey of a lifetime with the PADI Open Water Diver course. It will change you forever. Throughout the course, you'll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing two separate sessions which are described below.
Amber Waves Diving Company loves kids and believes snorkeling, skin diving and SCUBA diving are great FAMILY sports! We can begin working with kids as young as 8 years old! Kids 10 and up can earn a SCUBA certification. The PADI Bubblemaker program is for boys and girls age 8 and above. It's fun, easy and safe.
Advanced Open Water Diver involves 5 Adventure Dives, which are guided dives with your Instructor to experience a wider range of diving activities. Two of the dives, the deep dive and a navigation dive, are required. Then you and your Instructor will choose 3 other interesting and fun options. Your Instructor will also review the knowledge you gained through independent study in preparation for each dive.

Amber Waves Diving is simply the best place to learn scuba diving! I am a certified Open Water Diver, but had not dove for over 20 years. With the help of Tyler, I decided that it would be best to take Open Water Diver instruction - after all some things have changed. Jennifer and Neil were the Open Water Diver instructors and are great, explaining everything clearly. I decided to become an Advanced Open Water Diver and was lucky enough to have Blaine as my instructor. He has a real gift for teaching. I took my padi diver’s certification course through amber waves this weekend. All the crew members were well-trained, organized, professional, and did a great job of knowing when people were struggling. They gave group and individual attention in the classroom and in the pool. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone.
Also we had a family with 3 girls (11, 14, 15 y/o) in our class. The crew did a good job of making this class understandable and interesting to all ages and backgrounds in our class.
I wasn’t sure I’d like scuba diving, but now I’m looking forward to finishing

Tyler is a phenomenal teacher. His methods are informative and efficient. He truly made sure we understood the importance of the material. As a father of four, I can't say enough about the safety,knowledge, and professional service we received on our part one scuba class. Chris and Susan, our instructors, were amazing. What a team. I first met Tyler when he and the Amber Waves staff helped out with a camp of mine. When I decided I wanted to get certified I went back. Every single person I've worked with is fantastic at diving and has a lot of great information regarding gear. I've bought all my gear from Amber Waves and get lots of advice from Tyler and Tim about what is the best gear to purchase. I've been on two trips with Amber Waves and both were a great deal of fun.

I absolutely loved the service and our dive instructors Chirs and Susan. They definitely made me feel safe and comfortable and made sure I understood how to dive. I definitely recommend Amber waves and the wonderful instructors they have. Can't wait for this summer in Roatan.
