Based out of Plattsburgh, NY since 1987 we have drilled more than a thousand water wells and are uniquely qualified to understand the geology of the region. Michael is a graduate of Clarkson University with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, certified by the National Ground Water Association, licensed by the N.Y.S. Dept. of Environmental Conservation and certified in geothermal loop installation.
Services
The depth of the well and amount of well casing used (both quoted as price per-foot) determine the total cost. A dishonest driller can make up for a "low-ball" price per-foot in a hurry. Be wary of the "cheaper and deeper" contractors. Location is very important. There are NYS Health Department codes, Department of Environmental Conservation regulations and common sense.
Submersible pumps are located in the well, set based on the static water level and well yield. Submersible pumps are silent, self-priming and efficient. Wiring is very important for proper pump installation - most of our service calls are due to wiring failure. Because of this we only use the highest quality multi strand flat jacketed wire.
Water treatment systems may be needed in the North Country to address complaints about the odor, taste or color of well water. We regularly treat hardness, iron, bacteria and/or sulfur. We select the highest quality and the most reliable products to customize the best water treatment system for your needs.
Geothermal systems transfer energy from the constant temperature of groundwater to heat and cool your home. Savings of up to 70% of your energy bill can be realized. Geothermal systems can be installed in a new construction home or retrofitted into existing construction. The energy savings of this type of system can pay off the cost of the equipment in about 6 to 10 years.
