Victor's Italian Restaurant

This Italian restaurant, situated in an old church, was jumping late on a Saturday night. The service was exceptional and efficient. The food for the most part was excellent. There was only one off note to our whole experience. One dish did not really measure up; but everything else was just so damn good that we can not wait to go back and give it another try.
Marisa was our server and she was fantastic! Highly recommend this place.

We went there last night… The staff was amazing and the food was phenomenal! We were finally kid free and in need of a night out. We wanted to try something new and dress up.. This was the perfect spot!! It’s beautiful, the atmosphere is great. The pricing is good. Our waitress was very kind, the food was to die for.. The filet mignon and salmon is definitely something to try!! Id recommend this place to anyone!

So first let me start out with this is the first time we've been back to Victor's from a bad experience several years ago. I say that only to make sure that if others have had the bad experience like we did, it's time to give Victor's another shot. We did and we were very happy. Gillian was our server and met us quickly when we sat down in our party of 6. She was very friendly and provided good service throughout the night. All of our requests were met with friendliness and responsiveness (like extra sauce-by the way, last time we had to offer to pay for it to get it). Also

Service was great!! 5 star for service. Food was good and was a 5 star as well... I rated it 4 star because the dessert menu was just eh as far as choice. Dessert was just sub par at best... I dont suggest getting dessert.

We had a reservation for a table away from the bar area where music is too loud and it’s impossible to hear each other’s conversations. Guess what? We got a table right next to the loud music and could not tal to our friends. My food was cold and the waiter never showed up to offer help or refill our drinks. Terrible experience - overpriced.

I have loved Victor's since I first found it in 1990. I have come every time I found myself in York.Tonight, we chose 3 appetizers and a ceaser salad for dinner. The whipped feta and flatbread was divine. The "fish and chips" small plate was well prepared, very tasty,and attractive, but with only 5 little 1 inch cubes of fish-- not worth $14. This was our 1st time going there and we were so glad that we picked this place to celebrate 🍾 Our 27th Wedding Anniversary... The host and the waiter we had (Josh) made us feel very welcome. They were very nice and helpful with us making a decision to what to eat. We really enjoyed ourselves and we will come back to eat there again. 😋

The food was OK, but certainly not worth the price. The waitress was presumptuous in thinking we would LOVE the food. Nothing lovable about over-priced generic Italian. The service was slow except for those patrons who were ordering alcohol. We won't be going back.

Soooo good and such a random find. Was in the area for a wedding and the night before we still had to eat so we stumbled across this place which indeed looks like a church and is tucked in the middle of a residential area I already knew this would be good.

And true to how I feel about most italian dishes eating my leftovers the day after tasted even better!

Wow!!! My husband and I went to Victor's tonight for the first time. It was absolutely spectacular from start to finish. Usually we can find something to criticize no matter how small - but not tonight. We were blown away by the quality of the food and the service. We sat at the bar. The cocktails were top notch. I loved the Elegant Angel. We split the calamari, the caesar salad and one of the specials - Chilean Sea Bass over Risotto. It was over the top good. We will definitely be back. Loved it!!

Recently went here with my partner and a few friends for dinner. We’ve heard good things so we were excited to visit. Unfortunately, our overall experience was poor. Once we all arrived, we were seated and ordered drinks. All of the drinks that we ordered were very tasty and we all enjoyed them. That is where our positive experiences ended. Our waitress was rather rude to us and very short and snippy. One of the members at our table asked for just pasta and a pesto sauce, and the waitress said the kitchen could not do that. Had a delicious meal last night. Started with a Victors Hawaiian Lemonade, very refreshing. Followed by their beet salad, which is a favorite of mine. My main entree was the scallop risotto. This will definitely make my go to list. Our server Lori took excellent care of all 6 of us. Can't wait to go back.

This place absolutely blew my mind. Our waitress was on top of everything without being overly attentive while we were eating, very polite, and so helpful. She even went over her and other's favorites and explained everything about each item on the menu that we asked about. They easily have the best scallops that I've ever had. The food was mouth-watering with generous portions. The drink and food menus were sophisticated and had the best selection anywhere in York and it's surrounding areas. Food and drinks were yummy. But service was very slow... could see wait Staff standing around doing nothing. Got two entrees yet had to ask for bread 4 times just to get 2 servings of bread.. when it should of just came with the meal. Nobody asked how our food was. Beet salad wasn't good. Portions too small. Tomatoes not ripe... drinks were very good. Bread was amazing once we got it.. wish it came with the food. Bottom line the prices don't match the food quality and that is extremely upsetting because so many fresh ingredients are available this time of year...

I think it is good but can be better, let me tell you why. I got a reservation with OpenTable and that was extremely easy. I arrived on time and was promptly seated at my table. I began looking at the menu and saw they had some amazing options.

The staff was amazing, everyone was super friendly and helpful. We just got drinks and desserts but I'll definitely be back because they were amazing. Just amazing. I'm so glad my friends took me here to celebrate my birthday. I haven't been to victors in years but after seeing their menu and trying the appetizers i knew i was in the right place! Our server, Mackenzie was so sweet and accommodating. Our table was ready on time and the chef even came out to bring my special entree which was red snapper over risotto. OMG it was soooo delicious all my friends kept eating it lol! After dinner the owner i believe came to make sure we enjoyed and wished me a happy birthday. I visited this place on a Wednesday night as I am traveling through York for work. I was looking for traditional Italian food with a good wine selection and I was not disappointed. It was a charming place when I first pulled up, although the parking lot was eerily empty. My wife and I had our 24th anniversary dinner at Victors on Monday, 09.28.2020. They NEVER disappoint!! From our server Dustin, to the wait staff, the chef ( our meals were unbelievable...thank you chef) and our hostess Marie, who is very welcoming and makes you feel at home ...we had a VERY memorable experience.
If you dont want impeccable service, friendly staff, amazing food and a welcoming atmosphere then dont go there... but if you do...THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!

First time dining here. It was recommended by a good friend. We made reservation. Arrived and promptly seated. Pkenty of outdoor spaces. We sat in front which was nice. It was shaded and breezy. Staff wore masks (thank you) and tables distant appropriate. I ordered espresso martini and my friend ordered the peach perfect. Drinks were good. Appetizer we ordered the brussel sprouts. They were excellent. I want more as I type this. We ordered the beet salas and it was very good. Light refreshing full of flavor. Dinner choices; I ordered bucatini carbaronara and my frien ordered the risotto.

Well tonight was another AMAZING dinner at VICTORS. We got the sauteed mushrooms and crispy calamari for appetizers and they were both so good and prepared perfectly. For our entrees we ordered the Crispy Calabrian Chicken- fried chicken cutlets, roasted brussel sprouts,prosciutto in a chili and white wine sauce and the Shrimp Linguini-House made linguini, grilled shrimp, roasted tomatoes in a garlic butter sauce. I did some research and found this delightful Italian restaurant . I wouldn't call it fine dining since some people had on shorts and sneakers!
I had made a reservation on Open Table but arrived a day early. We were lucky to get a table.
Our waitress, wish I knew her name (long red hair) was lovely, knowledgeable but very overworked for a Thursday night,

We each got the Chef's Table menu, because we liked the option to sample more flavors from the new-to-us menu. I started with the soup of the day, which was a creamy tomato bisque with shrimp, then had stuffed shells, and finally the salmon with risotto. First time there last night and will definitely be back. Had a reservation for 8:15PM and the place was packed so they ran a bit behind. We ended up getting seated close to 30 minutes after our reservation time but the guy running the front of house (Bill I think his name was) kept updating us out front & brought us a couple glasses of wine for the wait. Places get busy, it's Saturday night and things like this happen so we were all good with it. I've never understood why folks would rather be at a restaurant that has no people in it anyway.

Sadly, Not what it used to be. No table linens, and small tables crammed everywhere. Very loud and so dimly lit, the menu was impossible to read. Our waiter could not be bothered to spend any time on us and even blew off our questions about the menu. The food was only so-so. Was given a dirty spoon with dessert. The experience made me anxious to leave. Not exactly what we had in mind for our night out spending over $100 for the two of us.

I loved the place, the service and the food and surly I would visit it again soon.
I got the linguini and it was just perfect..
the overall environment of the place very suitable for dinner with that amazing lighting.

Victor's is in a beautiful building with great decor. It is not too upscale that it is unsuitable for a casual lunch or kids. The service was very nice and quick. The price was about mid-level but the dishes are well-portioned and fresh. There are a few vegetarian options/dishes that could be made vegan, and gluten free options as well. I would recommend this for a relaxing and filling meal.
