Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre
Our mission is to enrich Omaha and its surrounding areas with the highest quality, professional theatre, meant to engage, educate and entertain, stimulating both feeling and thought.

We do this by offering artists a professional venue to pursue their craft; specializing in classic plays and literary works (from ancient through modern) under consistent and exemplary Artistic Direction; reaching out to the community through workshops, lectures and performances, making classic works accessible and relevant to people of all ages; and communicating well-told stories through professional directing and performance.
Services
Brigit Saint Brigit welcomes audiences back with its 29th season opener, Ronald Harwood's acclaimed and much-loved tale of a Shakespeare theatre troupe--traveling the outskirts of England trying to keep the Bard's work and their craft alive, all while air raid sirens sound and German bombs fall. A heartbreaking, moving and humorous look "behind the curtain" exploring the lives actors, backstage players, and the theatre.
BSB's annual celebration of all things Irish will be back this year, featuring an Irish-authored play performed on the weekends, and interspersed with weeknight special events, illuminating selected aspects of Brigit's/Patrick's/Colmcille's unending vibrant and cherished culture.

As we negotiate rights and finalize arrangements for this season's Festival, we look forward to offering another joyful tribute to Ireland (and our namesake, Brigit/Brighid/Brigid), a language-loving culture, rich in imagination and artistry.
Join us around the fire for a special, two-night, after-dark, outdoor Halloween engagement featuring campfire re-telling/performances of Shakespeare's Macbeth, Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and M.R. James's The Ash Tree. This new, fall BSB tradition will keep you cozy by the fire with some hot cider all the while sending chills down your spine!
Robert, disillusioned, with a painfully-controlled fury about life and the mundane. Jerry, his longtime best friend, a compartmentalizer of principle and lust. Who is she? Yet we don't meet these three at the beginning, but two years after the end of the affair--and then travel backward-1977, 1975, 1974, 1973, 1971.
BSB's Educational Outreach program has again been selected to provide programming at four of Collective for Youth's middle schools during the 2021-2022 school year. Collective for Youth is the advocate for Nebraska's afterschool programs. They facilitate the resources, and provide quality training for all of the out of school time program providers including our teaching artists, Michele Phillips and Patty Driscoll.
