LOWE-BO Homes
I was born and raised in New Mexico and I guess you could say building is in my blood. My first job was working for my dad, John E. Lowe, a local custom builder. He taught me the value of hard work and that nothing is free. He was successful and, by example, taught me how to be successful. I think maybe one of the best lessons I learned from him was to do what you say you will do.

That is how you take care of your customers and your employees. It is how to be a builder with integrity. My dad learned this from his dad who was a brick mason from England. My grandfather immigrated to the States and settled in Idaho to earn his living making bricks and building homes, structures, and bridges.

Before we break ground, we'll have our pre-construction meeting to go over any questions you may have. For detailed information on the process, watch the Ted Explains video below. Ted considers this the most important step in the building process. He'll meet with you to ensure the quality, color sheet and selection sheet are exactly what you want.
We hope that by exploring our site that you might be surprised with how reasonably priced building your own New Mexico custom home can be. Your custom home's value directly correlates with receiving a quality product at a great price. I'm Ted Lowe, the owner of LOWE-BO Homes, an Albuquerque custom homes builder, and I have been in the home building business my whole life.
You've decided you want to build your dream home and now you have to decide who is going to build it! This is a big decision that can be made much easier by consulting with and choosing the right builder; it doesn't have to be a decision that adds additional stress to your life. Avoid becoming one of the nightmare stories you've probably heard about by knowing how to pick the builder that's right for you.
A good builder will assist you in securing a construction loan for your custom home project. Knowing what you can qualify for on a mortgage is a big part of the puzzle regarding building a new custom home. A good builder will often recommend to clients that if they haven't already done so, to make sure they get pre-qualified for a mortgage.
One fact that is hard to argue against, is that buying or building a house now is an excellent idea. Rates are still historically low and the market is showing signs of appreciation. Buying a house does take more effort and consideration than buying a stock or bond. First you need to visit properties, both existing and potential new builds.

We used Ted Lowe and Lowe-Bo homes for our new home in Placitas. Ted is very organized and has an excellent process to help with all the daunting selections and decisions in a new home construction project. Building a new home is complicated and sometimes very frustrating. Ted and his Construction Supervisor Darrell Reed walked us through the whole process and answered all our questions. We are very happy with our new home and highly recommend Lowe-Bo homes for your new home construction project

Our experience with Ted and Lowe-Bo Homes was great. We've bought homes before, but never built a custom home. It can be a daunting experience with so many things to think about and choices to make. Ted was there and immediately responsive to any questions or concerns we had throughout the process. We've now moved in and have done our 45 day inspection, and any (all minor) problems were immediately corrected. The new home is everything we wanted, and we are very happy to have found Ted and Lowe-Bo Homes.

From the initial house design meeting to the post-occupancy 45-day walk-through, Ted Lowe and his team strive to ensure the entire process meets or exceeds your expectations. As folks new to custom-home construction, my husband and I had a lot of questions. Ted patiently answered all of them and accommodated our "detail oriented" nature. He let us know what was on the calendar for the upcoming week and the role we would play in meeting those deadlines. We especially appreciated Ted and Dolores giving us a list of vendors as well as a timeline for selecting items for our new home. Each vendor was
