This is a contract drawn up between at least three parties. The first party, also knows as the obligee, is the party to be receiving the obligation stated in the contract. The second party, called the principal, is the party that will primarily be responsible for carrying out the contractual obligation.
There are four main types of bail bonds: cash, surety, immigration, and finally federal bonds. While not as common as the other types, federal bonds are the most serious and as you guessed used for federal crimes. Because they are used for crimes that are often more serious, they will cost much more than normal bonds, and come with steeper penalties.

This is my first experience utilizing a bondsman service, every step of the way they were there for me. Very responsive and willing to help in anyway possible. I just want to truly say, thank you to Steve. I had a family member that needed a bondsman, I was told it was a 5000 cash bond, for a FTA. I spoke with Steve told him my situation, he advised me he would see what he could do. I initially was called back was advised he would not be able to assist. Guilford county website showed bond changed to secured, called Steve back, he checked the website and confirmed what I saw. He called to the Guilford county jail and was advised that it was still a cash bond, which confused he and I. Steve said Nichol, here's what I need you to do, call back to the jail

After a long day and 4 hours of calling around. Mr. Steven listened to my situation and worked with me on getting a bail! The service was very professional. I did not feel rushed or belittled. After I was going to give up because of the hang ups and pure unprofessionalism from others, it worked out. Very helpful. I was looking at a difficult situation with needing to bond other half out... they didn't try and be discreet about things that could possibly get in the way.... explained eberything and all possibilities.... Very attentive and knowledgeable...def going to use them within the next 48 hours for sure!!
