Stopped in to investigate as I work nearby. I ended up leaving with one of the best pieces of carrot cake I have ever had. Can’t wait to come back for lunch sometime soon.
Update: Used Famous Ray's to cater for my Fresno State class. They handled an order of 40 with no problem. Great food. Students were happy.

First time here. Got to sample some soup and dessert and was blown away. Flavors are delicious and the man who helped us (think he was the owner) was talking to us about his fresh food and all the work he puts into making his food. Happy to see his pride in the fresh, homemade, delicious food he serves. Will return very soon Cuz that cheesecake 😍😍😍😍.

I stopped by this shop on a whim one day, and I'M GLAD I DID! I'm hooked. And when I say hooked, I mean HOOKED! The sandwiches; freshly made. The soups of the day; hearty and full of flavor. The take home and bake dishes; Authentic flavored dinner without all the mess. Desserts; 5 star quality (tiramisu will knock your socks off)
Famous Ray's Northside Deli means BUSINESS! If you're in the area, or in Fresno in general; this NEEDS to be on your list of stop to eat at. Give your tastebuds a REAL treat. You WON'T be disappointed.

I contacted the owner Debbie less than a week before my event to see if they could cater a meal for 20 and deliver it to us as well on such short notice. She was friendly, professional and very accommodating. Her husband Dale delivered our meal, which was fresh and hot, along with a big, friendly smile. We ordered their delicious meat lasagna, ravioli with meat sauce, sausages, meatballs, garlic bread and their fabulous carrot cake! Their prices are very reasonable!. I would highly recommend trying Famous Ray's Northside Deli for your next event or just for a delicious meal. Thank you so much to

The staff was very helpful and friendly. My husband had the meatball sandwich which he loved. I had the summer salad (cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, artichoke hearts, and black olives marinated in Italian dressing) with fresh mozzarella cheese. I added romaine lettuce to it when I got home to make it a complete meal. It was all delightful. We will be back!

If you have not yet been to Famous Rays Northside Deli, you are missing out on so many amazing deli options. I totally enjoyed the overstuffed Chicago beef sandwich on a crunchy French bread and there are many other sandwiches to choose from. Try their homemade potato and macaroni salads both delicious
Debbie , the owner, prides herself on all fresh herbs and ingredients she hand makes both her mild and spicy sausages as well as her homemade Italian sauce for her pasta and chicken Parm dishes. Looking forward to return for some more delicious food go and enjoy you will not be sorry

First timer here. I saw an ad for Famous Ray's on FB, the pastrami sandwich looked really good! I went there today for lunch. I ordered a small of The Big New Yorker. I was only able to eat half since it was so loaded with delicious pastrami, saving the rest for later. I also picked up a piece of their housemade carrot cake. I've only nibbled on the multi layer carrot cake. Yummy goodness overall! 5 stars for friendliness also! Definitely going back!!

So many delicious options to choose from. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. The home made pastas are amazing. The soup is scrumptious. They definitely do not skimp on portion sizes. I am so excited to have this place in Fresno. I've been telling all my family and friends. A little note: I got a Ray's sausage, peppers, and onions yesterday early in the day, I took it to work with me and heated it up at 9:30pm on my break. The baguette was still in tact and not at all soggy!
