Germano's Piattini
Dine on patate fritte--hand-cut French fries with truffle and parsley or peperoni ripiene-fried peppers, ricotta and asiago in our gastropub. Germano's exciting new PIATTINI menu appeals to the vegan and the vegetarian as well as to the steak or seafood lover. Tartufo (truffle) Pizza, Carciofi Fritti (Prosecco battered fried long stem artichokes) and Polpo in Tre Modi (octopus three ways).
Services
Germano Fabiani and Cyd Wolf sparked a renaissance in Little Italy with their newest venture, Germano's PIATTINI (small plates), a contemporary Italian kitchen and bar and upstairs cabaret, with a small plates and paired brews menu that excites the palate and offers something for every taste. The couple turned the 200 year old establishment into a "terzo", a home away from home and work and a salon for artists.
CABARET at Germano's. The upstairs dining room is arranged with tables and chairs facing an open performance space. Guests enjoy informal, engaging interaction with singers, actors and musicians as they dine. The full PIATTINI menu is served in the Cabaret.

Unless otherwise indicated in the show listing, the Cabaret opens at 6pm for pre-show dining and patrons are urged to arrive and place their order prior to 7pm so that the performance can begin promptly at 7:30pm.Please note that while we take dinner reservations in the Bar, the Barn Room and the Tuscan Room over the phone or online, you are only guaranteed a seat in the Cabaret upon the purchase of your ticket.
Our favorite Italian tradition is the aperitivo, a drink/light meal that takes place at the end of the workday as a kind of warm up to dinner. Monday through Friday from 5-7pm in the bar, enjoy cocktails and complimentary finger food - aperitivi- designed to whet your appetite for dinner. Live music throughout the week.
Attention Field Trip Coordinators: Germano's offers an exciting field trip concept that combines hands-on learning with an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Germano's will present a pasta-making demonstration, as we narrate not only the process but also provide a historical and cultural context engaging the participants in a lively discussion that will allow them to make their own connections between what they have learned and will be learning in social studies, math and history.Students will have the opportunity to participate in the cooking process.

I really miss this place. They have a damn-good chicken paramesan. The cheese, the sauce, the chicken are the perfect combination of food TKO.
I HOPE the restaurant is opening soon as I need to revisit as it's been too long.

We ate here at a classic Italian Dinner time (1:30pm, Sunday) and it was a very enjoyable meal. The food was very fresh, from the eggplant to the beet ravioli and grilled octopus and the “piattini” menu permitted a sampling of lots of items (think tapas). The service was attentive and we added a bottle of Chianti to round out a wonderful meal. Reasonably priced for this level of quality and we all highly recommend!

We got a delivery from them and it was so special and made with so much love. They included a cd for us to listen to, supporting the artists who play in their bar during these COVID times. We listened to it and loved it and had such a wonderful time. Gnocchi was so puffy and light and delicious. Burrata was divine. I can't wait to order from them again. Thank you!

Delicious food in a wonderful old town Baltimore atmosphere. Amazingly reasonable prices for authentic Italian food. We loved the Beet Ravioli in Mushroom Ragu. Excellent wine list, fabulous service! We will go back soon!

A small eatery in Little Italy. Staff is attentive, dining room decoration is nice. I had the Spaghetti with Two Cheeses and Pepper (Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe) which was made with good quality pasta, and the description is exactly what I got. Nothing fancy, and I liked it. The wife had Lasagna (Lasagna Classica); she was not as satisfied with her meal, commenting that her Lasagna was much better. Her verdict was the meat was not fresh, and there was no Ricotta in the dish.

Best Italian food I have ever had! Another restaurant week in Baltimore treasure. Definitely worth the trek to Little Italy. The owners were welcoming and very sweet people. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for great Italian food.

Music was great! Worthy brothers. Food was excellent. Classy and diverse audience. Definitely not one note. Waiter was animated and engaging (in the best way). There are a small amount of steep stairs that people might want to be aware of. But what's at the top of the stairs..."worth" it!!!

Average is all I can say. We went to the little Italy in Boston last year and everything was so fresh! When we came to Baltimore I was so excited to come to Germano's. Service was alright, bartender was nice.
The pasta doesn't taste fresh to me and that's why I feel I rate 3 star. The sauce on the Spaghetti Carrettiera was good but the noodles--overcooked.
The Bruchette was different, not bad but different.
Wouldn't recommend.

The ambiance was nice though. Small and homey. Something you'd expect in little Italy.

I had great experience two years ago but I went there today and the food was below average. We waited more than half a hour for overcooked brussel sprouts. And more than one hour for undercooked spaghetti... so disappointed. There weren't many customers but it still took forever to get our food served. The wait was too long and the food was not good so we eventually lost appetite. They could've done better.

Two of us came here last night to see a band and have dinner. The Old Part of Town is a great Americana-based country blues kind of band. Great covers and some decent originals too.

We started with salads and two Peroni. I had the arugula and beet salad-- the beets were meh, the salad was fine. Then we had the lasagna & ravioli. I thought the lasagna was way too salty but delicious. The beet ravioli with mushroom ragu was to die for. The ravioli is so savory and delicious, with homemade pasta and just spot on flavors that make you happy to be alive. Seriously.

Then, I did something crazy

Lovely ambiance but subpar food. Nothing I ordered was special. Left feeling like I wasted my money. Strange smelling pizza sauce. Gnocchi was overcooked. It's very unlikely that I'll eat here again.

My co-worker and I were looking for a restaurant in Little Italy to have our staff Christmas lunch and we found it!

The owner is a sweet man! He greeted us as soon as we walked in. The restaurant looks small but after he took us on a tour, we found it packs a big punch. Bar area and another room on the 1st for dining. Upstairs is a perfect room for our staff that sits 55. There is another room that they hold Cabarets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. They are sold out most weekends. I work for a Nonprofit. He told us he works with a local detention center, hiring nonviolent men to work

The music with dinner was fantastic! The decor is very nice, the setting was quite lovely, except the ceiling tiles; a little dingy looking (ceiling tiles need to be replaced immediately), but nicely themed; painted, etc... Our waitress was melancholy, stressed and seemingly overworked with all the tables she had at once. At times, we ran out of ice tea, and waited a while for appetizers and food, but the service was not terrible (I tipped 20%). The appetizers (brussels sprouts) wwere very good. However, the rest of dinner was terrible at best. Our party of three tried the bread, cheese pizza,

My wife and I were visiting from Arizonia. Spent the day touring the Inner Harbor, when she had a striking brilliant idea to walk over to Little Italy for a late lunch/early dinner. Most restaurants closed by 3pm and opened again at 5pm. Germano's was the only lace opened it seemed. The place was empty. The owners were conducting business at the bar, but quickly welcomed us in. The ambiance was cozy and quiet. Our service was excellent. (We were the only people there). She was informative and friendly. We ordered the fried calamari for starters. It was scarfed down quickly. I order the shrimp scampi

My partner and I came here for the cabaret show on NYE and we are so glad we did. What a lovely little restaurant. The decor was Italian art deco and it was dimly lit... very romantic setting. The upstairs opened right at 9pm and we were all ushered in. The check in process couldn't have been any easier. We had a table reserved without having to have even call in. They automatically assign your table when you buy your tickets.

Service was slow and inconsistent but not terrible. It took a really long time for us to even be acknowledged by our waitress and the table next to us were finishing

This review covers my Baltimore restaurant week experience for the $15 lunch deal.

Don't waste your time on other appetizers--if you like Brussels sprouts, just go straight for that. Homemade ricotta cheese--'nuff said. Half of us got the farro salad (which was good, don't get me wrong), and we were face-palming ourselves for it.

Everyone at our table went for the short rib, because that ($11), the salmon ($13), and pappardelle ($12) are the higher value items to get you a bang for your buck during restaurant week.

The owner was present, and before and after dining I got the

2 stars seems harsh, but saying that this experience was A OK would be a disservice to Yelpers. After researching a lot of places in little Italy, I'm bummed to see our experience was in such stark contrast to the majority.

While I first felt silly for making a 7:30 p reservation, within half hour most of the dining room had filled up.

The host that greeted us was super friendly and kind of made you feel like you were coming to his home for dinner. Unfortunately, the warm hospitality did not translate to the dishes we were served.
