Catch
Our chefs rotate their menus regularly, accommodating seasonal produce and fresh catches of local, sustainably sourced seafood. Each dish showcases these ingredients while incorporating Mediterranean influences and minimalist Californian sensibilities toward composition and presentation. The air of refined simplicity also extends to the dining room's decor.

Cherry-wood tables line the tiled floors and surround the small, circular fireplace that helps heat the enclosed patio section. Works of vibrantly colored wall art originals add a taste of whimsy to the space, as does the balcony-like stage that sits suspended 10 feet above the ground, dominating an entire corner of the room.

I love Catch! It is not too noisy and is intimate enough to have a normal conversation. Importantly, the cocktails are delicious and the food is amazing. I always get the meatball app- only place in the world I order meatballs.

Came here for a friend's birthday with a group of 11 people. Upon arrival, they checked your vaccination cards and usual parking situation in San Francisco, metered parking at the front and any residential street parking down the block. They had a really cool pianist playing during dinner on this elevated section of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and they were prompt with making sure we always had water filled. My boyfriend and I ordered both their special's for the night NY steak and cod. DELICIOUS!! Our friends go the miso glazed cod with udon that looked delicious, we shared

Went here for a date night and was very pleased with everything. The muscles had the most amazing coconut broth that I couldn’t get enough of, the tuna and salmon were cooked perfectly, and the oysters were absolutely delicious and fresh! The cocktails were wonderfully balanced and the service was great! Would recommend and will be coming back!

It's a food truck but seemingly permanently parked in the lot near Fisherman's wharf. They have good fish and chips, i.e. the fried fish is tasty with the right level of crunchy and moist and the tartar goes well. The fries are cooked well and tasty.

Best fish I've ever had outside of Wales. Totally worth the half hour in line. Order only took about ten minutes after I had made it to the window. Downside is the wait and lack of seating but absolutely worth it. Just wish I was hungrier so I could have eaten/ordered more.

Very good authentic fish and chips. Large pieces of fresh cod. No need for vinegar or tarter sauce although it was available. I substituted garlic fries. Set up with about 8 all outdoor tables.

We ordered Cesar Salads for dinner at $13/ each. It was another $12 to add a chicken breast. $4-$6 may have been a reasonable price. Other than that, it was a nice first time experience. The Crab Croquettes were tasty.

Love the place but, I got a bit sick after eating their fish stew. Usually I have enjoyed this place and everyone has a bad night. I would never recommend that particular dish but I would eat most of the other fish.

This is a GREAT CATCH.
First of all the seafood is fresh. I LOVE the lobster and prawn crudo. Definitely the best. Second, EXCELLENT service. Third, a warm and COZY atmosphere. Fourth, the management is great. Lastly, the Margarita and dessert ice cream taste MAGNIFICENT.
I'll definitely go back here and recommend this place.

Wow! Had an 8 top for a birthday dinner for a manager that used to work there and found the owner Sanjay has banned him from this sad dying restaurant. There goes a good sale. And from what used to be regulars. How sad, petty and pitiful.
Not my table!!

After dining here many, many times, I'm truly surprised how the owner talked to my group. When we arrived we asked if we could sit in the patio that they have in front. After being hesitant he rudely insulted my husband insinuating that he didn't know if we would "fit" at the table. After correcting him, I think we hit a nerve and it got worse from there. After being treated so badly we preferred not to eat there anymore. After walking out the owner decided to chase us down and tell us we were invited back over an honest Yelp review while we waited.

To be honest it's really

UPDATE: Sanjay made sure to tell me I'm not welcome back because of my honest Yelp review! He chased us out saying don't come back! Not to worry...we won't be back Sanjay! LOL!!! Just as I said, he's so easily upset and can't control his emotions! Very sad!!!

Two stars-for the older guy who is the owner/"host" Sanjay. He is RUDE and overly dramatic. He doesn't know how to talk to people without getting easily upset.

We asked to be seated outside and he made a big stink about it saying there was no room! And that I wouldn't be comfortable. Maybe

Cannot believe the service we just received from the owner! Normally Catch is "our spot" and have even brought out of town visitors here...never again. We wanted patio seating and were told by the owner/host there was "no room" in the patio... we saw several open tables. When we asked about sitting there we were told that we "wouldn't fit, you will be squished" ...on a bench seat... How rude!!
Too bad the owner doesn't have respect for his guests. Never coming back...

Catch! What a great brunch!
A restaurant known for its amazing dinners also outdoes breakfast! From light - Salads - to traditional - Eggs Benny - everything was top notch.

We are in a spacious, spaced out outdoor cabana, though we had the option of dining half-in-half-out on an enclosed front terrace (true indoor dining was not allowed by state covid tier at that time).
Recommend! Recommend!

Set right off the hustle and bustle of Market Street, Catch is serving up some decent fare in a convenient spot to gather with friends. The service was pretty good and the experience a breeze thanks to a quick and simple reservation.

With a name like "Catch," you know you are coming here for some seafood fare. Our little group started with some freshly shucked oysters that served up a crisp natural flavor with the usual accouterments. While the truffle fries were presented in a towering beautiful mound that offered the flavors of that balance between salty and earthiness from the truffle

Came in on a Saturday night and there were no tables available so we opted for seats at the bar.

Drinks:
Calla Lily: (4/5) - tasted like a lychee martini
Watermelon Margarita: (5/5) - refreshing!

Food:
Mussels: (5/5) - the sauce kinda tasted familiar, like a Thai curry sauce?
Fried Seafood Mix: (5/5) - lightly breaded and cooked perfectly!

Service was good too. Seems like they have a lot of regulars.

Just had a wonderful brunch with the hubs. We walked in no reservations on Saturday morning but thankfully there were tables indoors for brunch. For food we had the chorizo chilaquiles, fried calamar/shrimp/rock cod app, French onion soup, giant onion rings lol. I esp liked the fried chicken sandwich as it was served on focaccia bread. We had a few cocktails too, which were all very inventive and delicious. I especially liked their version of margarita which didn't have tequila. The drinks were actually the highlight for us. No surprise, this is the Castro lol. Food was good don't get

We came here for SF Restaurant Week for dinner. It was a great choice, our first time coming here, probably won't be the last. Everyone was friendly, service was spot on and the food fabulous!
Hubby got the ribeye, but unfortunately, he doesn't eat veggies. I had the halibut and it was cooked to perfection. I was a bit worried that it might be dry (as it seems to be at other places) but I was glad I had it. The risitto was also delicious.
Dessert was also over the top. Hubby had the bread pudding and said it reminded him of when he made it for his father. I had the chocolate

So, here I am visiting an old college buddy in San Francisco. Lucky me: he decided to take me out to dinner to Catch.

The arugula salad on top of the mussels was an amazing treat for me!

Everything was delicious, the service was exemplary and it was lovely to be seated right next to the fire pit!

Excellent seafood place - one of the rare places in SF right now where you can get dirty martinis and oysters with outdoor seating...truffle fries are very yummy. We also had the salmon which was excellent. Grilled artichoke with aioli also very tasty. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. Market street location a little loud but they've set up the outdoor booths with consideration of the street noises. Highly recommend and safe setting during Covid.

Nice outdoor seating and nicer indoor seating. Food portions are nice and filling. We started off with a Stella and their Catch Manhattan. Very well made and balanced. One of the better ones I have had. Had the fried seafood mix.. Crisp, light and filling. I had the Mussels with Chorizo served with fries on top in a coconut sauce. Oh my God it was good. I was stuffed. She had the fish and chips. As you can see in the pictures the batter is very thin light and crisp. The fish is red snapper and is of good size, juicy not dry. They serve phiagha at night so we are coming back for dinner

***ATTENTION***

No affiliation to CATCH LA

Ironically we made reservations under the belief that this location was affiliated with CATCH LA because the colors and the menu surprisingly mimic those of CATCH LA.

None the less - we had made reservations for Saturday night, a few days ahead at that and arrived on time only to be seated at the business next door which had no outdoor heaters and everyone in San Fran knows the weather becomes unbearably cold at nights. I asked the manager if we could be seated next to a heater as we had reservations and had requested it with our reservation. With attitude

No need to endure the waterfront mobs to get an exceptional seafood experience. Catch in the Castro is phenomenal. The ambiance is beautiful, the waitstaff excellent, & all of our dishes were expertly prepared, seasoned, & plated. Easily one of our best dining experiences during our 5 day vist.
