Don't miss "Bright Star." Kudos to Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, its cast, orchestra and artistic director for lifting the spirits of this audience member. The food was great, too. This beautiful story by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell is brought to life with powerful singing, flawless acting and the joy of performing that we consistently find at Riverside.

Services
Since then, Riverside Center has been the site for over 100 mainstage musical and dramatic productions, more than 120 musical adaptations of popular children's stories in our Children's Theatre, and innumerable wedding receptions, celebratory social gatherings, business meetings, military balls, high school proms, and special hosted events in our Conference Facility.
Inspired by a real event and featuring the bluegrass-tinged Grammy-nominated Steve Martin and Edie Brickell score, Broadway's Bright Star is a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and '40s. When literary editor Alice Murphy meets a young soldier just home from World War II, he awakens her longing for the child she once lost.
A progressive white couple's liberal sensibilities are put to the test when their daughter brings her black fiance home to meet them in this fresh and relevant stage adaptation of the iconic Sidney Poitier film, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
Blindsided by their daughter's whirlwind romance and fearful for her future, they quickly come to realize the difference between supporting a mixed-race couple in your newspaper and welcoming one into your family--especially in 1967.Her parents aren't the only ones with concerns about the match, and it's not long before a multi-family clash of racial and generational difference sweeps across the family's idyllic San Francisco terrace.

In this side-splitting international musical phenomenon, we meet the Little Sisters of Hoboken; Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
A timeless fantasy about the power of love. Molly is in grave danger when a mugging while walking back to their apartment one-night leaves Sam dying in the street. Unable to leave Molly in need, Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next. With the help of a questionable storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly and protect her from harm.

We are blessed to enjoy Broadway caliber theater at "Fredericksburg" prices. Patrick and crew do a fantastic job at eyeing talent and putting them into perfect roles. The food is good. The wait staff has always been responsive to our every need. The box office is top notch. They always go the extra mile to help us with any questions or concerns we have. I usually ask for Kristen, she is the BEST!!! Thanks Riverside for bringing some A+++ Entertainment to our region!

I love the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts. I have been a season ticket holder since 2004, and have been to almost every show since then (I missed the last Christmas show during the pandemic). The last show I went to was the Wonderous Marvelettes. My son and I loved the show. It was fantastic! Prior to the pandemic, my son attended the Theater Camp they hold every year, and he loved it. I can't wait to see Grumpy Old Men, and enjoy getting back to their being able to serve dinners again! Glad Riverside is open again!!! If you haven't been there, you need to go!!!

We have enjoyed several performances here over the past few years. We are glad to see that they are coming back and are putting on performances again. Strongly encourage everyone to support our local theater performers and see a few shows. They did an excellent job and they worked hard to reopen to the public. Seats are distanced and they do ask to mask up if you haven't been vaccinated, but I still felt safe. Show your support and go see a show or two!!
