Melissa listens carefully to you, explains and addresses ANY issues or questions that you may have so that you are 100% confident in your decision to proceed with your hair extension investment, as this is truly an investment in you. She is devoted to her clients, always trying to make hair services convenient and more importantly, affordable.
I work with all types of hair textures including hair extensions for fine hair. I show "after" images completely straight not curled or waved. Most extensionists who curl hair extensions after installing them are usually hiding the fact that UNLESS curled every single day, your extensions won't blend when the extensions are not styled!
While I would like to only show the "good" transformations, I feel it is also important to highlight what can go wrong with hair extensions when they are not installed by someone that has adequate training and experience in hair extensions. Do your research and educate yourself before you go in for consultations with anyone!
The most common causes of thinning hair or hair loss in women are illness, stress and hormones. Whether from menopause or medical issues such as thyroid imbalance, treatments such as chemotherapy, medical procedures like general anesthesia and even simply having your medications adjusted can cause hair loss.

Amazing experience and excellent customer service. I made an appointment to donate my hair as Melissa is a Wigsforkids.com ambassador. Melissa was super friendly and nice as she expertly cut to collect my donation. Loved the way she styled my hair after cutting too. Melissa gave me my confidence back. I scheduled a consultation with her a year ago to discuss getting hair extensions after experiencing hair loss due to stress and health issues. She was so patient, kind, and informative about the entire process of getting the extensions, how they’re sourced, how she applies them, etc. no detail was left out and I felt very confident that she could help me restore some volume and length in my thinned our hair. I’ve been wearing tape-in extensions for years, and been traveling to Houston for my maintenance. I needed to find someone closer, so I started doing research and came across Melissa, Extensions of Yourself. I made an apt for a consultation to see what she had to offer. Melissa is amazing! When I first came to her, my hair was a disaster. At least half of my own hair was gone from bad experiences with extensions. She restored my hair and educated me on how to keep it healthy and long. My color is matched perfectly and I continually receive compliments. I owe this to Melissa. My extensions look natural and beautiful and my hair has all grown back, thanks to Melissa. I could not praise her enough for what she has done for me.

How can I describe my experience with Melissa? I arrived for my consultation to show her my Newly applied hair extensions that was a Malaysian beaded method, I hadn’t slept in 3 days and my head was in so much pain! Before going to Melissa I wanted a salon to wash my hair but was told they couldn’t wash it as my head was too red and sore!

Absolutely hands down the very best hair extensions anyone could ever find! Melissa took such great care of me, gave me her full undivided attention, was so attentive and considerate of my wants and needs, and my extensions are gorgeous! I have naturally fine hair that, to be honest, has been damaged over the years by coloring and straightening it and just looked…blah.
