Provide outreach programs, equipment and facilities, and funding for sailing education, training, and competition so that students may learn the life skills and values important in being active and productive members of the community. Build a sustainable, life enriching sailing education experience that positively impacts the community and reinforces a desire to preserve sailing's Corinthian spirit and values and the Club's rich history of tradition for future generations.
Services
The Ephraim Yacht Club is a community sailing center which relies in part on donations from members and others. Please join hundreds of other EYC members and friends who have supported the EYC with donations over the years.

Ephraim Yacht Club Donations is for the shorter-term purpose of furthering the charitable mission of the EYC of sailing education, training, and competition so that students may learn the life skills and values important in being active and productive members of the community.Appropriate use of the donations include, but are not limited to, staffing, outreach programs, equipment and facilities.
The EYC offers dry slips and rack slots on its pier for rent to EYC members, for Optimists, Lasers, 420s, and Flying Scots sailboats, as well as for windsurfers, paddleboards (SUPs), and kayaks. Neither the EYC nor its members, volunteers, directors, officers, or employees are responsible for loss or damage to slip-holders, kayaks, windsurfers, paddleboards, gear, or locker contents.
The Sport of Sailing. Sailing is a lifetime sport that is athletic but does not require unusual coordination, size, or strength. Girls and boys participate in lessons and compete in races together. Sailing is social and at the same time rewards individual initiative and learning. Sailing is low-impact and is very safe.
There are four racing one-design classes at EYC, the Optimist dinghy, club 420, Laser, and Flying Scot, and races are held twice a week for each boat type during our racing season. In addition, there are seven regattas, annually. Racing is a great way test and improve one's sailing skills, while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow sailors.
The Flying Scot is a 19' sloop, typically sailed with 2 or 3 onboard. The boat has 10 active racing fleets in the Midwest and four national sanctioned events annually. EYC owns ten Flying Scots, and combined with member's privately owned Scots, is the most competitive fleet at EYC. Use of EYC Flying Scots requires a skipper's license or equivalent.

A private club but surprisingly inexpensive for the quality of staff, equipment and location. Won the USSailing regatta of the year in 2009. Flying Scots, lasers, optimists and 420 fleets for instruction and racing.
