Anne Marie Arroyo and Tamela Greene, the owners of MOXIE Food + Drink in Whitefish Bay, opened their second full-service restaurant, Trouble and Sons Pizzeria, in the fall of 2018. The restaurant has a rustic Italian (with a bit of funky) theme. Its menu features a selection of classic Italian appetizers, pastas and of course, pizza.

Among the many delicious house pizzas is "The MOXIE, " a salute to Trouble's sister-restaurant, with basil pesto shrimp, feta cheese and tomatoes. The popular "Sprout" house pizza features fresh mushrooms, crispy, hand-peeled brussels sprouts, mozzarella cheese and a truffle glaze. Trouble and Sons also features a full bar with craft cocktails (try "The Troublemaker"), draft beers and an exclusive, curated selection of Italian wines.

Great food, mediocre service and subpar ambiance. We made reservations for two well in advance and got put in the far back, last table, of the restaurant. It was a small space where you could barely hear the music and I had car lights in my face the whole time from people picking up to go orders out back. Service, although super polite, was extremely slow.
The food is what made the evening worthwhile. We started things off with the Shrimp Napoli and it was the best shrimp I've ever had, no joke. For entrees we had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and Chicken Parmesan, both fantastic. We also got a

Always start with the garlic bread! Great appetizer to share with the table. The pizza is excellent and the cauliflower crust option is also a winner. The service is consistently top notch. If you can, go on a Wednesday as they have half off bottles of wine. My only minor knock is that there aren't a ton of vegetarian options. Overall, a classy restaurant with speedy service, tasty food, and a great vibe.

I've been here a few times. The food is mediocre at best. Tonight I did a pickup order. When I sit down, I have no problem tipping 20-25%, I used to be a server and I know it's hard work. When I did pickup tonight I tipped 5%, because I feel all they do is hand you a bag. They were EXTREMELY rude, gave me smaller portions of food than normal, and then charged me for a bigger tip. Trouble and Sons lost a customer forever tonight.

Chicken parm sandwich was not good. Took a bite and threw it out. Calimari was greasy and spongy and came with cocktail sauce. Pizza dough was undercooked. $85 for a full meal that will be thrown away.

First visit on recommendation of family member. Able to sit on their patio without reservation as there earlier in evening. (Reservations highly encouraged). Our party of two included myself & spouse. We both ordered an eggplant entree. His was eggplant sandwich & mine was eggplant parmesan. Excellent and generous portions. My entree came with 2 huge slices of the eggplant. Ate one slice with half the pasta & took other half home. As a reheat, tasted just as good if not better which is surprising as sometimes a batter-coated crust gets soft when reheated. Not the case here!!

Excellent pizza, salad, and garlic bread! We dined outside on their really cute sidewalk patio. Every single person that we came into contact with(the hostess, drink server, and our server, Shannon)were extremely friendly and so attentive. Definitely will be back!

Excellent!! Nice quaint spot for dinging. Beautiful patio that was surprisingly quiet seeing that it is next to a busy street. We had pasta, but the pizza that was coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. We will definitely be back to try that. The tiramisu was probably the best I have had.

Nice new independent addition to the north shore. Have only been there once thus far.
Hand tossed pizza was excellent. Had perfect blend of cheeses and seasoning, and nice texture to crust - neither heavy nor flaky. Not overloaded with cheese or salt.
Caesar salad was good - also not excessively salty.
Garlic bread is served as a small loaf with divisions on the top. Was great for passing around. Garlic and butter were added sufficiently, but not excessively.
My brother in law had the cauliflower crust gluten free pizza and called it the only good cauliflower crust that he’s had.
They aren’t
