Captured Moments is a portrait photography studio founded by award-winning photographer Rita Sherman. Located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, Rita's team of artists have been providing the valley of the sun with timeless portrait photography since 1993. This local business is led by four driven, artistic women: Rita Sherman, Heather Montasir, Allison Jourden, and Brionna Raum.

Here at Captured Moments you might find that we operate a little differently than you might be used to, which we hope you will come to love! As you peruse the following session options, please keep in mind that included in the total cost of each classic portrait session is a "Studio Credit" or minimum order amount that will be used for product purchases after your photoshoot.

While we love to shoot at your home more than anything, we also have lots of ideas for our clients who would like to have their photoshoot elsewhere. When the Zygmunts heard that we were going to be taking portraits in the San Diego / Coronado area this July, they couldn't pass up an opportunity to get some siblings portraits on the beach! I'm so glad we found Heather at Captured Moments. She took the absolutely most amazing photos of my daughter, Amina. We needed updated images for her acting and modeling portfolio and her agency just loved these! Amina had such fun with Heather and I think that really comes across in the pics. Milo’s visit to Captured Moments was an amazing experience! They were so patient with him and we all had a such wonderful time. Their team is funny and really nice. They gave Milo water and gave us candy!! During the photo shoot they were super resourceful in ways to get his attention and made sure our time was being used efficiently. We will definitely be coming back, with and without Milo! :)

My husband and I have had Captured Moments take our family photos for 6 years now and I have never been disappointed. We cherish our annual photos and they are so fun to look back on. We were fortunate to have Captured Moments and Heather create the most beautiful graduation pictures for our 2 children and we just recently had our whole family’s picture taken by Heather once again ! They always create magic!! We love all the proofs always! The only negative is that we have such a struggle narrowing down our choices! Heather is so sweet and always professional and fun! The shoots go by so quickly that even our (leas than willing son) has time to get grumpy!! We are going back again next month for pictures with our four legged children:)

I highly recommend Captured Moments for any photography needs you may have. I personally used them for some professional headshots and casual photos. I was very nervous as I’m not one who enjoys having my photo taken. However, thanks to Heather and the rest of the team at Captured Moments, the session was a lot of fun and I was very relaxed and comfortable having my photos taken. I must also thank Sherri for my beautiful hair and make-up. I’m thrilled with all of the fabulous photos!

You will absolutely love everyone at Captured Moments by Rita! Sydney and Heather did my daughter's senior picture shoot and threw in some family photos along the way....we loved every single photo! They are amazingly talented, not to mention that they made us all feel so comfortable and we had so much fun with them! They are amazing, patient, creative and so very fun to work with. Despite being 105 degrees out and humid, they were such troopers and got every scenic beautiful backdrop possible. If you need photos done, you can't go wrong with this group--you be will so happy you went

We have been working with Rite, Sydney, Heather and their associates for over 10 years and couldn't be happier! They are easy to work with, professional (while still making sure that our photo sessions were fun) and the finished product couldn't have been more beautiful! Let me start by saying that I am not someone who likes getting her picture taken! Sydney and Heather made me and my fiance feel at ease and it turned out to be a fun experience! We got some amazing pictures and 6 years later we still get compliments when people see them in our house. The prices are great and the final product is spectacular! I definitely plan on going back!
PS: They also did a shoot with my entire family and they were great with my little nephews and nieces...crazy cute pictures!
