My daughter's family live in a '40's house which has been remodeled in the past and added onto. I arranged with Woods to do a structural inspection and report, to determine the soundness of the structure. They were very accomodating and responsive. Their report was what was needed to give us the information we were seeking and also the peace of mind that an engineer's knowledge can provide. I thought the cost was reasonable.

Marcus and his associate were very thorough in their structural review and gave very clear feedback and direction for how to move ahead. I'm sure this is expected, but there are probably some people who are rushed and don't take their time with thoughtful responses. I'd recommend them and hire them again.

Our 100-year-old 6-flat building needed our back deck/stairs inspected, and some other structural issues reviewed to confirm next steps. Marcus was friendly, thorough, and issued a helpful report, with photographs and drawings. We've shared his report with our contractor to make all necessary repairs. Marcus also was helpful in identifying what was "serviceable" and how urgently to prioritize different repairs. It was exactly what we needed, and was a seamless and positive process. I'd highly recommend Marcus, and plan to hire him again if need arises.

Marcus was beyond helpful and patient. He came out to inspect my sagging floor and support beam issue, during this inspection I was more appreciative of him making sure I understood the basics to be able to relay the scope of work to possible contractors and being open to further questions about the project beyond the schedule inspection. I will definitely recommend his service.

My wife and I were in the process of buying a renovated workers cottage, which being an old home, had the expected issues. Coupled with our experience with the developer and contractors, we needed some peace of mind that the house wasn't going to fall down. My wife is an architect and we had low expectations on what anyone could actually tell us without tearing into walls and doing more forensic investigation. Marcus blew us away with what he could tell us just via a visual inspection. If you're on the fence if hiring Woods REI will actually be helpful, rest assured, it'll be worth your money.
