Stigma-free, affirming, affordable therapy for LGBTQIA2S+ Individuals Do you live outside of the heteronormative-cisgender box? What is EMDR Therapy? Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people.
Could you use an expert opinion on what you're going through, or a non-judgmental ear just to listen? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you've been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
Sometimes things can be improved, changed and bettered, with just a little support, no matter how big or small. Other times, couples seek therapy to figure out if their relationship has ended and seek guidance to move forward with their lives. With couples therapy, you'll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship.
If sexual issues are preventing true closeness between you and your partner(s) then Sex Therapy may help. As a sex therapist, I am sex positive and am non-judgmental. I focus on the physical and emotional relationship between those presenting for therapy, then identify the attitudes about sex and the sexual problem.

I cannot say how everyone's therapy will go, but I can say that after a few years of DBT therapy I became bold enough to speak my opinion on a few things, which did not agree with his personal opinion. At that time I was no longer seen as a patient needing understanding but as a disagreeable and problematic patient. He refused my phone calls even though we had missed 2 regularly scheduled appointments due to illness and weather. I felt emotionally abused. It is his option to see who he likes,so be sure he likes you.

Brian is an awesome counselor and helped me through many difficult times. He is a great listener and did EMDR on me to help me get over my military trauma. I highly recommend Brian to anyone who wants real results.
