Helene has been the owner, of Frame Up Eyewear since 1979 after graduating Erie Community College in Ophthalmic Dispensing. She wanted to provide Western New York with beautiful, original European frames presented to the public in a classy boutique style atmosphere. Helene has achieved that for over 4 decades, constantly bringing customers the latest in fashionable eyewear.

I personally have never worn glasses, and I'm not good at evaluating what does or does not look good on someone else. Thankfully, you don't need to be to go to Helene - she will take care of you!

Helene helped me buy my first pair of glasses back in 1997. I moved to New York City and then the Bay Area In California. There is no shortage of high end boutiques out here, easily 4 in my neighborhood, one being where my optician is. There are designer frames but no one knows how to fit glasses like Helene. They can't make a good recommendation. Instead, they say try on as many you like, then gladly sell them to you if you manage to find a pair after wasting a huge amount of time with ones that don't fit or look ridiculous.

I purchased frames and lenses from Frame Up Eyewear in 2012. That's not recent, but the owner and optometrist have not changed since then. Helene is not the friendliest or most accommodating person you'll ever meet, but she is very talented at matching frames to faces. Dr. Gordon, who I saw multiple times over a period of several years at his Kenmore office rather than in this location, is personable, generous, and knowledgeable. I'm still wearing the glasses I bought in 2012, and that's one of the reasons I'm reviewing Frame Up today; I broke the temples of these very durable Theo brand titanium

What can I say that hasn't already been said. They sure make your eyewear a personal discovery. Every pair is personally suited to your face. She offered several pair as we tried to get the best style, shape, and color combination to accentuate yet not overpower my natural features. I was very pleased in all manner of sales, service, speed, and quality. Great place to get your frames. I won't need to go anywhere else now that I've discovered Frame Up!

There is no other place anywhere in WNY for glasses like the ones at Frame Up. You will not find the styles, brands or quality unless you travel to NYC or LA. Most places you wander around trying on pair after pair until you can figure out what you look good in. The owner, Helene, is magical! Her art is knowing what frames will fit your features. She takes one person at a time and shows you her choices of frames. Guaranteed you leave purchasing the first or second pair she picks for you. She just knows! It's incredible to watch. High quality is all she carries and if there is ever an issue

Helene is a genius and no one can match your face to the right pair of quality glasses like her. She only carries the best and they are not cheap, but they will last forever and not break like cheap glasses. She is the absolute best in Buffalo and you will be glad you went with her and bought a really good pair of glasses that accentuate your appearance.
