KMR Home Automation & Theaters is a design, sales and installation home automation and home theater integration firm. We are certified in Savant and Control4 systems. We are a direct seller of Paradigm, Anthem, Screen Innovations, Epson, Sonos, Origin Acoustics and Oppo dealer and an authorized dealer of every major brand.
Since the inception of our business it has been our policy to only sell products which are new and which we are authorized dealers with the manufacturers. What does this mean to our customers? This means we only sell new "warranty covered" equipment. This also means we attend manufacturer training on all of the products we sell.

I found Matt through Paradigm Speakers as a local distributor. I have owned and enjoyed Paradigm Speakers over the years. When talking with Matt about purchasing the speakers I discovered that he can also mount my Sony TV, and obviously install and wire a 5.1 system. I was going to get a Yamaha A/V receiver and Matt offered the Yamaha, but suggested I go with an Anthem 720 instead, explained why, and offered a competitive price on the Anthem as an incentive. Love the Anthem and I am very glad I took his recommendation. Same with a switch from a Paradigm subwoofer to an SVS subwoofer. Wow the SVS

After waiting over a week for a call back for an appointment, the owner texted me asking to arrange for noon on Monday. I asked if there was any availability in the evenings, and he never texted back. I could be available during the day if I have to, but this guy just never answered. I called the place twice. Maybe they didn't like my budget of 6k, because I had no clue what it really should be at the time. We ended up spending 18k (not with KMR) and have an awesome theater room now.

My first home theater and I could be happier that I chose KMR! Matt was the reason I chose KMR. Matt told me what he would do if it were his room and the budget I mentioned. That meant a lot to me because he’s the expert. Other companies just told me to choose a package.

Very knowledgeable about all things related to home automation. Staff was detailed in there work and they took the time to answer all my questions. They helped us with several items such us finding the perfect speakers for indoor & outdoor to meet our needs, setting up a complete home movie media room with surround sound, mounting outdoor tv with sound bar, integrating our Wi-Fi so we are running faster then ever. Matt came to look at my space and made recommendations based on my needs and my budget. He and his team were accommodating with my schedule and came in within budget. I was undecided on a few items and Matt was patient in working with me while I figured out what i wanted. I am very happy with the team that came out and installed the system. My wife and I had talked about doing our media room for some time but were never comfortable with many of the people we met. The conversations always started with a question regarding our budget, not unreasonable, but the goal always seemed to be to get us to spend as much as possible. Matt's first questions centered around what kind of people we were. Are we big audiophiles or videophiles. What was our room going to be used for. Basically, what was important to us. (I'm honestly not sure if we ever discussed our budget) Matt always seemed to emphasize getting us as the best value

I've had two projector installations done by Matt (Sep 2010 and Aug 2015). Both installs were similar in that a projector was being mounted in the ceiling, wiring ran through the attic, screen assembled and mounted on the wall. The most recent installation was more challenging due to the roof line but I'm completely satisfied with the quality of work on both. He is very thorough in is estimate process to make sure you understand exactly what needs done so there are no surprises on the bill later and you get the results you expected. Both installs were done on time and they cleaned up

I received a call from the owner of Katy Media Rooms yesterday informing me he was going to contact Yelp to have my review removed. Shortly after the conversation began, the owner informed me I was being recorded. I was trying to get my point across that Katy Media Rooms is responsible for providing "Jesus's" number while never disclosing he was not a part of their company. In later conversations,the receptionist told me they never even met"Jesus" before, which is what prompted me to write the review. I called a service for Katy Media Rooms and not another company.

I should have called Matt years ago! He and his team made the media install process so simple and the craftsmanship and customer service really blew me away.
I've been in my League City home 8 years and have always been frustrated with the way the builder wired our family media room. The TV and speakers were all in the wrong places and the sound was terrible. I put off fixing it for too long!
KMR was so patient with me and all my questions. I didn't have a huge budget to work with and they really helped me figure out where to spend my money.

Just moved to Katy in Cardiff Ranch last June, and was looking for some one to help me with my media room. couple of weeks ago I Met Matt and he provided a proposal to me and here you go, I had my media room done yesterday. Matt did everything in one day. He installed 6 in wall speakers (including wiring for additional 2 speakers to convert my 5.1 prewired room to 7.1), 120" fixed screen, super cool universal remote (X box one, 2 cable receivers, blue ray), super powerful subwoofer, and an amazing projector. Then after all the hard work to get all the equipments installed, Matt took his time
