My husband and I visited for my birthday along with another couple. I wanted seafood! We were all very pleased with our meals and the service was excellent. My husband does not like fish or seafood so he ordered the petite sirloin, which he said was great! This restaurant isn't super fancy, but it was just what I was looking for- cozy and cute and not too pretentious! Prior to last night I hadn't been to one of their locations in ages, and now I am reminded of what I loved so long ago. We will definitely be back soon!

I enjoy this restaurant anytime. First of all they have a Hugh table for up to 25 people or even more. When we go out most of the time we go alone. You can talk children but the ambience is quite and has dimed lights. The is a bar that is on the other side of restaurant. Concerning the food you can't go wrong everything is fresh. The house salad dressing is to die for . The salad is Hugh.The extra touch by giving you a fruit basket and a hot towel to clean your hands. This is a must to go .

Great spot for lunch and dinner. Sit down and get taken care of with some fruit and hot towels to finish off your meal. Something about that feels so comforting. If you need a good lunch, the lounge has some great choices - I recommend the crab cakes or sea scallops. Admire all the art on the walls while you wait. 5 stars.

We LOVE this place! The fish, no matter the type, is always cooked perfectly! Do yourself a favor get the spicy shrimp wings, they are our ultimate appetizer! We've tried Buffalo shrimp up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida and these are hands down the best anywhere. The wait and bar staff are professional, courteous and friendly. This was our first stop after arriving in Connecticut for Christmas and we were not disappointed. I heartily recommend The Saybrook Fish House in Cromwell, you'll be glad you went!

Me and my husband absolutely love this restaurant. The bartender Trevor is always excellent, very attentive and makes a good drink plus could company. The scallops are always like melted butter in your mouth. The fish soup is irresistible. I absolutely love how they give you fresh salad fruit plate and fresh bread with your meals. Even with takeout you get a wonderful assortment of fruit salad and bread, A very welcome old-fashioned treat. I recommend this restaurant to everyone

On 8/28/21 I had the surf and turf . Meat was a small cut about half the portion of Texas Roadhouse . It was cooked okay but not seasoned well . Vegetables and potato was hard as rock not cooked . My wife’s crab cakes were not fresh at all . This is a fish house ! For the expense we paid a basic Restaurant would of been better cooked . The food was not even two stars

Food was under cooked and under seasoned. Menu prices are a bit extreme. The table didn't even have a real tablecloth on it (it was a big sheet of paper). Overall our group seemed to agree that the food was just okay.

Once again, brought guests here for a casual & fun meal - and once again the Fish House did not disappoint! Only thing more abundant that the always delicious fish chowder, salad, and entrees was the “pit-crew-style” team service we received any time we needed anything. Swordfish was super-fresh and seasoned perfectly... Poseidon Adventure now our new favorite - but def wear the bib!
