Services
Our mini farm animals spend their days frolicking on our farm. They love being a part of special events that take place here and they often attend Summerfield Farms community events (check out our calendar here) too! Our minis would love to be a part of your event or photo session. Dolly is beautiful white miniature horse.
We respect the land, nurture the soils, farm sustainably, treat animals humanely, and produce healthy forages and food for animals and you. Summerfield Farms' cattle are humanely pasture grazed to maturity in Guilford County. They are raised on mother's milk and grasses only, with no added hormones, antibiotics or steroids.
Summerfield Farms didn't intend to evolve into a grass-fed beef farm. Proprietor David Couch set out to restore the land after many years of soil depletion from growing tobacco and envisioned thriving pastures. His quest to restore the land coupled with his life passion for health & wellness resulted in the introduction of grass-fed cattle to once depleted soils.
Buying beef in half and whole increments represents wholesale pricing and is the best value offered to the marketplace. When you place your order, we will provide you with an approximate date for your animal to be humanely harvested. A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to reserve your portion.
Located at the front door of the farm, The Market features Summerfield Farms 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, certified organic produce, dry goods, wine & beer, and a wide variety of gifts. We carry small-batch, handcrafted and locally sourced products whenever possible. When you step into The Market, it feels like home - you'll find smiling faces, a warm atmosphere, and your favorite nutrient-dense foods to fill your pantry.

Summerfield farms was the perfect* place to have our wedding at and I am still so amazed at how beautiful our wedding day was! I knew from the first time we toured, that the farm had to be our wedding venue and that was touring it in the rain! From that first tour and email, working with Summerfield was always such a breeze. Correspondence was quick, staff was beyond kind, and the venue is always pristine. They help you find any type of vendor you ask for and give you recommendations on ones they have worked with before. Great place to shop! Visited the market a bit frazzled and overwhelmed looking for last minute Christmas gifts, so I was relieved to find such a wide range of local products to choose from and such friendly staff. Audra was beyond helpful and SO kind in helping me pick out some gifts; she answered each of my questions about all of the unique items and guided me in my decision to get some candles and jams (and a recommendation to visit 😉) that the recipients absolutely LOVED. Very happy to support a local farm and can't wait to find myself back at this picturesque paradise!

Summerfield Farms blew every single expectation I had for my dream wedding day out of the water. They were amazing to work with, and helped all of my decor vision come to life! Their staff and event team were some of the most loving and compassionate people I've ever met. They were very accommodating throughout the pandemic, helping me and my guests prepare for the event. The houses that we got to get ready in before the wedding were also absolutely beautiful, and they even hand wrote me a letter welcoming me and congratulating us! They handled all of the alcohol, had golf carts ready for my groom

We love attending their events or just going to grab some fun local gifts at the market for friends who are visiting. They have holiday events and weekly events when make for fun family night out or use as a date night with your SO or friends! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of space for kids to run around!

I recently photographed a couple who are getting married at Summerfield Farms in September 2022, and we took their engagement photos in front of the iconic big tree this week! The peaceful serenity of the farm enrobes you when you step foot onto the grounds of the farm.
I can't wait to be back in September 2022 to capture Ally & Hunter's wedding day! In the meantime, I'm hoping to snag some pumpkins from The Market before they're all gone!

We have had the absolute pleasure of working with Summerfield Farms to have our dream wedding. We booked them all the way back in 2019 and they have stuck with us through Covid and many other life obstacles. They handled everything with such grace and were so accommodating. Our wedding weekend was absolutely magical. The staff had every single detail covered, right down to helping me rent their mini donkey to great our guests.

Wanted to get out on Easter weekend Saturday and wanted to explore so I went on the Google machine and saw something about live music at this 'working farm'. I expected a couple farm animals and a barn and a beach bar Willie singing some lame covers.
What I found was truly 180 degrees from that. You pull in and see this beautiful market next to this picturesque barn. The market is full of their meats (one of only eight certified grass raised beef farms in NC according to the employee @ the market), Camino Bakery baked goods, the Goat Cheese lady, Ashe County cheese and numerous other craft, quality

I shot a wedding at the Summerfield Farm Venue in November and It was absolutely stunning. There were so many expansive and beautiful parts of the property, I didn't even have time to see them all. I loved the operate cabin and cottage from the groomsmen and the bridal party. Also the rooftop terrace at the barn is out of this world. If you were thinking about getting married here DO IT!

This place is straight out of a Hallmark movie. They have farm grown and grass fed beef, milk and other goodies. Their Christmas trees are delivered for free within 20 miles and they’ll even put it in the base for you if you leave it outside. Ashley was so great at helping us pick out a tree and other goodies. They even have a food truck with alcoholic beverages and a non fire for people to come and spend an evening.
