BayArea Underpinning provided a service to support and raise our single family home that had been sliding down a hill in Fairfield. This is a costly and scary undertaking so we got 4 bids from what we believed were reputable and experienced companies. We chose Bay Area underpinning due to their professional presentation, their guarantee and the courteousness of the way they worked with our tenants. I first contacted BAU a few years back because the foundation kept moving on my 110 year old home. They recommended me putting in piers but I didn’t want to spend the money so just had them put jacks under the house. Unfortunately it was only a short term fix so I had them come back to do the piers. They were very understanding, gave me credit for the jacks I’d put in, and agreed to do the job for the same estimate as 4 years earlier. They left the area cleaned up at the end of each workday. The on-site foreman was very knowledgeable and kept us informed during the entire process. We highly recommend Bay Area Underpinning. I initially contacted Bay Area Underpinning for an estimate of foundation issue of my house. Darren performed measurements around the perimeter. He informed me the cause of ceiling and wall cracks. The estimate he provided was very reasonable. The proposal for repair is very detailed. Including samples of material to used, each cost with videos of repair. He answered all my questions.
The crew that performed the repair are very friendly and punctual of work rime. They completed the work to my satisfaction and on schedule.
