Over 30 years ago I started with a Kmart mirror and two lawn chairs. I had an old desk, a phone and nothing on the walls. It was pea green., Says Roberto. Roberto Vasquez walks through his salon on San Mateo Boulevard NE and points around the room and reminisces. It is funny how the cheap, stick-on mirrors are gone and in their place are huge makeup dressers.

Best haircut, best color, best conversation, best nurturing and listening to my requests, best everything!!!! I received Compliments from entire family. This is my go to place as long as he is business. No "cookie cutter" haircuts here. Worth the money. Just let Roberto work his magic. And Tony was the bomb!! He listened to everything. Thank GOD for this amazing place and the people who make the magic happen. I feel like a new woman. I am 68 yrs old and had "BIG TIME COVID HAIR". Roberto made me feel beautiful.

My wife was needed a great hairdresser and I wanted her to have a great experience. We called around and were close to giving up when thankfully we found Roberto. First and foremost the hairstyle and color are amazing. She came back not only looking amazing but smiling ear to ear because she had such an amazing experience. Roberto and his staff are experts with hearts of gold. If you are looking for a great look and feeling this is the place for you. I am still bragging about helping her find Roberto.

I love this place. I haven't had a good hair cut since the 80's. The owner and staff makes you feel at home. I didn't know how I wanted my hair cut but he knew. I feel fabulously now and my hair feels so soft. After using the Milk shake shampoo the color of my hair looks great. Thank you.

I made sure to check before the appointment that they had experience doing balayage. When I got there Roberto ("a character" with many stories) and Tony inspected my hair and of course decided it was a disaster and they decided what to do with it even when I show them photos of what I desired or as closed as possible. After 5 hrs of many different products and a $300 bill I ended up with my hair nothing like I explained to him that I wanted . I wish I could post photos. I am not a happy customer.

My wife asked me to grab some product for her before we leave on a trip. I went during their advertised time and they were not open. That is not as big of deal as my experience outside the place. I read to use a different door and as I turned to walk to the other door I trip on a metal trip wire directly across the sidewalk. As soon as I catch myself and figure out what just happened I trip on a second trip wire. My foot is now bruised and bleeding on the top. They might be the best in town at hair but I will never let my wife spend another dollar there after what I just experience. I am still

Absolutely amazing. Best haircut I've ever had, my hair has never looked this great. Roberto and Tony were just fabulous and made the whole experience great. I will never go anywhere else. Tony and Roberto both did an amazing job on a perm and a trim I needed to look my best at a formal event in Vegas last weekend. I wanted something bright and stunning and that is just what I got. I also got free sample products and a lot of smiles. Along with being talented, I found Tony and Roberto to be unique, warm and positive. A wonderful experience all around.

I intensely disagree with the (clearly) immature review below. Roberto's hair cuts are amazing. Creepy? No. He gave me a long hug in front of my boyfriend. Roberto cares about the people that come into his establishment. He's an indian healer & a wise soul. I've been to 10 salons in LA that don't come close to his level plus they'd charge you an extra $200 for some friendly advice.
