Mid-America Contractors, Inc. was founded by Jack and Marilyn Coughlin, who established the business 30 years ago, and is currently being operated by 2nd generation Jason and Jenny McDowell. Our team of commercial contractors is proud to provide the Greater Kansas City area with quality commercial contractor services. At the tail end of a decimated construction industry, Jack and Marilyn had the insight to start small and work tirelessly to make a footprint in a competitive and typically over-saturated market.

For 30 years, Mid-America Contractors, Inc. has provided full-service contracting services to commercial clients throughout Kansas City, MO and the surrounding areas. Our team of commercial contractors work hard to complete every job on time and within budget. We work with each client one-on-one to ensure the job is completed to their exact specifications.
Throughout our tenure serving clients across the Greater Kansas City area, we have found casework had a tendency to hold up a construction project. To help make the process smoother for our clients, we began building our own cabinets over a decade ago. Since then, our cabinet shop, MAC Cabinets, has grown from one table saw and a small warehouse to now being equipped with the latest technology and eight full-time carpenters and designers.
Many commercial contracting companies do not take on smaller projects, which leaves clients to seek out repair and maintenance work from multiple companies. The services department at Mid-America Contractors, MAC Service, was created to offer clients a one-call solution to all of their general contracting needs.

At MAC Residential, the remodeling department of Mid-America Contractors, we are committed to making your project as stress-free and smooth as possible. We specialize in quality remodels of kitchens, basements, and bathrooms. We have experience in light electrical, light plumbing, carpentry, and frame work.
For 30 years, Mid-America Contractors has provided customers across the Greater Kansas City area with comprehensive contracting services. In our glass department, MAC Glass, our mission is to provide customers with a one-stop shop for glass, mirror, and aluminum storefront products and services. We are committed to offering our customers honest, reliable, efficient, and polite services.

We recently had a fire at our house, luckily it wasn't a huge fire but what a mess. It was just devastating. Our insurance sent an adjuster out very quickly. I was having nightmares about finding a contractor for the outside of our house and a different contractor for the inside of our house. I really feel lucky to have found MAC, and they took care of all parts the repairs, including everything I knew absolutely nothing about. They kept me in the loop about what was happening the whole time, they were always on time, very professional and thoroughly knowledgeable about all the big and small details

We have used Mid-America Contractors, Inc. (MAC) several times in our home for remodeling projects as well as adding new built in cabinets. They have never let us down. James provided a quote almost immediately after he came out to look at the scope of work, his team not only showed up on time, but was EARLY and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Mid-America Contractors is my first call whether I have a small job that could be handled by a general maintenance technician to a large job that would include all construction specialties. Their staff is knowledgeable, quick to respond, readily available, personal and courteous.
