I am a portrait and headshot specialist in Houston, Texas, although I think of what I do as taking a portrait of your personality. I specialize in your face and expressions because I have found that I have an aptitude, what some call an eye for facial expressions. It is amazing how subtle movements of your facial muscles can be so evocative.
Uh, I assume that you have some idea or you wouldn't be here. Despite that, I have been informed that you need to know, so here we go: Generally, a headshot is a specific type of portrait that realistically demonstrates a person's appearance for branding or casting.

Why dark backgrounds? The short answer is because they can look awesome. Your website designer or marketer may have an idea about why they prefer certain types of backgrounds but it is rarely because they are concerned about how good you look. Fortunately, that is pretty much all I care about. While the white background has a clean, contemporary look, darker backgrounds can look better with certain skin tones or clothes.
I strongly recommend that after you get on my schedule you use my scheduling system at the bottom of the contact page to schedule a consultation call with me. It takes a lot of time for me to do these, but they help get the results I get. Feel free to schedule one before you decide to schedule with me if you like.
I now limit myself to one client in the morning and one in the afternoon. This means that you have all the time you need. Are you worried that you will be a mess and need plenty of time to get it right? Well, I'm not worried about that, but you have it. We can take our time to find the best you there is.

I highly recommend using Chris for your next headshot. The experience was a lot like the video on his website but more fun. He was funny, witty, personable, and serious about providing a great product through his extreme focus on details I hadn't even considered. He also did a great job conjuring the professional look I wanted to portray.

As soon as I seen Chris’ work, I knew he was the best person in Texas to compete my headshots. Chris takes the time to not just tell you to pose, but he coaches you on exactly how it’s done and why it matters. Even after looking at the raw drafts, I said that these were the best photos I’ve taken in my life. Chris is an expert and if you’re looking for someone who will 100% nail your headshots, go with Chris!

Those of us who hate ourselves in photos know well the “Let’s take a picture” anxiety attack. Chris & Jessica make the most wonderful team. Their coaching made me feel comfortable & confident in front of the camera for the first time (at 57)! I was hoping for one good shot and found myself with so many it was difficult to choose! I am so relieved that I will not be ‘that girl’ in my daughter’s wedding photos this weekend.

I hate taking pictures, and was even less thrilled about willingly updating my headshot to an older version of myself. Chris exceeded all of my expectations. He made the process comfortable, and I even found myself having a good time. The final results were AMAZING.

For the first time, a head shot that represents how I see myself. This was an amazing experience. First, the results. I needed a head shot to kick-start a job search. Your head shot is the first thing people see on LinkedIn, so it needs to capture the professionalism and image you want to convey. Chis really put the pro in professional! Most head-shot photographers, don't put in the time to perfect the craft and are just doing it by default... This was an experience with a photographer like I've never had. He was friendly, personable, had the right equipment, took the time to get the right shot and made me feel like a rock star! I live in Katy and work in Cypress, but this was definitely worth the drive and time. You will not be disappointed!

My husband was in need of new headshots and Chris could not have been a better choice. Seriously, these are not your average headshots. He’s also definitely not your neighborhood family portrait photographer or just another guy with a camera and tripod who offers headshot services. These are photos clearly taken by a guy with technique, killer… instincts, and above all, the knowledge of the ins and outs of an effective headshot. I wish I could adequately describe how sharp and exciting his photos are, but you're just going to have to look for yourself and see the punch of personality

I came to Chris with a couple outlandish requests. "Make my jawline disappear" and "make me look less square" are to name a few. I was also a complete mess during our session. I have never "modeled" so asking Chris to show me again- the technical movements to make to my face to make a normal smile felt a little foolish but he was so good at coaching me what to do. I booked Chris for a headshot session hoping to get one decent professional picture of myself. I'm one of those people that typically run from cameras, never take selfies, and never ever have had a professional headshot. I put complete trust in Chris, considering he's the expert at photography, and let him work his magic. When you book a session with Chris, he brings a make-up artist as well to make sure your make-up is appropriate for the photos. Chris is different from any of your "normal" photographers. I've worked with tons of them in my past and not one of them cared as much as Chris does to capture the personality of his subject. The session was fun and the product was/is stunning. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a head shot photographer. His work is truly amazing.
