As a kid in Lebanon, Chayban Chayban watched movies and became hypnotized by American glitz and glamour. Decades later, Chayban's American Dram is in full swing. His name is inscribed on six area alterations and dry cleaning stores - from Northtowns to the Southtowns. Chayban started his tailoring business more than 30 years ago, building and sustaining a repoutation as a premier tailor.

Convenient location but a bit expensive for tailoring services. They don't publish their prices online and didn't tell my wife how much getting something tailored would cost when dropping it off. Instead ended up paying more for an item to get tailored than it was worth when picking it up. Colvin's is cheaper and they tell you what they charge and have their prices online.

There really isn’t a reason to go anywhere else for your tailoring. Danny and his brother Joey whose up on Elmwood have done so much great work for me in terms of quality. What adds to the entire experience is how friendly, accommodating, and easy to with with they are. I am a returning customer for as long as I am in Buffalo.

Chayban's is an amazing tailor! The staff is extremely nice,and their work is impeccable. The staff wears masks,and there is sanitizer. I had two dresses altered for weddings I was in. I thought I just needed the length done, but the staff made me realize I needed the waist taken in,and part of the sleeve detail pulled up. These adjustments made me look even better in the dress! Yasmine was an absolute life saver!! I was getting married on October 5th in Buffalo but no longer live in NY. I was super sick for the two weeks prior to the wedding and when I tried my dress on when I flew into town I realized the dress no longer fit and was 3 inches too big. I ran into Chaybans in Lancaster and asked Yasmine if she could alter my wedding dress within 3 days which I knew was a huge ask and super inconvenient. She was able to get it done on time without any complaints and it fit perfectly! I can't thank her enough for saving the day and making sure there was a happy bride

I can not say enough good things about jasmine! I originally brought my wedding dress somewhere else in the beginning of July (my wedding is September 6th) and the tailor was not working on my dress and at this point it was almost the end of August so I was freaking out. I got my dress and took it to Chaybans in Depew and jasmine was able to do all my alterations in the short amount of time I gave her! She is so sweet and friendly. She knows exactly what she's doing and can fix anything you need her to. Her work is immaculate and was able to complete multiple alterations on my wedding dress

The only thing that impressed me more than the alterations and the efficiency, were the compassion and kindness that I was shown. I needed a bridesmaids dress altered for an upcoming wedding. I had recently been diagnosed with a medical issue and I was unsure how I would need my dress to fit, let alone if I’d even be able to be in the wedding. I can't say enough great things about this place! They did a great job on my wedding dress and the prices were affordable. I had a lot of work done and never once had anything but complete faith that they would be able to do what I asked. I even added some last minute alterations and they completed them with no problem. I went to Chayban's (Williamsville) on my birthday. I had requested that at least one pair of my pants be hemmed within a few hours before my dinner (I'm currently pregnant and was desperate for a pair of pants that fit correctly). The gentleman that helped me is a part of the family business. I'm one of those guys for whom a well-made suit fits well off the rack, so I rarely need a tailor. I recently bought some nice things that were too large, though, thinking a tailor would make them fit like they usually do, I brought the clothes to Chayban's. Not. The work was excellent, but the result was not in keeping with my expectations at all. In the end, that's what it boils down to, expectations. Don't expect alterations to turn ill-fitting clothes into anything except something that fits a little better unless the alteration is a simple hem. That said, the work was excellent. A place like

Dropped off my bridesmaids dress a few weeks ago for alterations at the Lancaster location. The owner was extremely professional, explained my measurements and alterations, and was very sweet and mindful of my timeline and needs.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated. Brought a bridesmaid dress in for alterations. Alterations were done alright, BUT when I came back to pick my dress up there were 2 large spots on the front of it. I was told they could spot clean and I could come back in 3 days to pick up.
Came back to pick up and the original spots are smaller but then there were 4 additional spots all over the front of the dress!

I found my way to Chayban when I was looking for a VERY last minute alteration for a bridesmaid dress. I had ordered the dress a size smaller than I should have, against the advice of the bridal consultants, because I had been losing a steady amount of weight--turns out I didn't lose as much weight as I needed to to fit in the dress, so I had to scramble to figure out a plan, all without letting the bride know as to not worry her!!
I lucked out... a friend of mine was in a different wedding several months prior and had a similar dress in the same color and fabric, so I was able to bring both dresses

I went here for my wedding dress alteration and was AMAZED with the skill at which Jasmin was able to alter my dress.
I brought Jasmin my dress fairly close to my wedding day, and not inly did she get it to fit me perfectly, she also added a sash and turned the extra fabric cut off from the bottom into a beautiful bow in the back of my dress that she somehow sewed into the fabric of the sash.
I highly recommend her for wedding dress alterations or any alteration for that matter. She went above and beyond what I wanted. My dress was complimented so many times it was.the highlight of the night!

She is extremely friendly, listens to all your requests and will make all the needed alterations until you are completely satisfied.

Jasmine (Yaz-meen) is by far the best seamstress/tailor I've ever used and is SOOO affordable. She did the alterations on my sister's wedding gown, including her bustle, for over $300 less than what the bridal shop wanted to charge (and considering she used to work exclusively in bridal, she did an amazing job).
She also was able to beautifully re-size bridesmaid gowns for all three bridesmaids after a poorly placed order by the same bridal shop (some of the dresses were off by over 2 sizes but looked perfect on the wedding day).
