Services
I am a wedding, portrait, commission and fine art photographer based on Lopez Island in Washington State. Photography is a lifelong love. I started photographing seriously at age 14 and have never stopped. In middle school, one of my teachers started a photo club and setup a darkroom. I was immediately drawn to photographing people; finding ways to capture moments, expressions, joys and, in my own way, create a vision of life.
I cannot recommend Robert as a wedding photographer more highly. He did a great job capturing the photos we had specifically requested, but also used the natural landscape and lighting in ways that surpassed anything I could have previously pictured. Looking back at the photos, I am also thankful for the way he captured photos of the guests at the wedding.

We eloped in September on San Juan Island, and are so thankful we found Robert S Harrison Photography to help us capture our day. He recommended a few locations ahead of time for us to check out and helped us get a solid plan in place for after our ceremony. He was able to capture a few funny moments that happened, as well a ton of great shots we can share with our family/friends. He was on-time, professional, friendly, and made everything easy.

Robert photographed our amazing Lopez Island wedding. We originally booked him in 2020, but with the pandemic we had to push to 2021 and he was nothing but reasonable when it came to moving our dates.
He worked with us prior to our wedding to envision places to talk first-look photos, and other various photos like 'sunset' photos, etc. Or how to best angle our ceremony area so the sun was just right for the pictures.
He was absolutely amazing to work with prior to our wedding and on the day of our wedding. He captured all of the photos that we wanted and more, and his pictures came out absolutely

Robert was an unbelievably amazing photographer for our wedding in May of 2021! From the start, Robert was very clear and prompt with his communication, and was always happy to answer any questions we had regarding taking pictures at our venue (Lime Kiln Lighthouse, Friday Harbor). Robert exceeded our expectations with his knowledge of the ideal location for the ceremony, and had several suggestions for photos of us and our party that had never occurred to us! 10 out of 10 recommend hiring Robert as your wedding photographer! We are so in love with our wedding photos. He captured our essence, our emotion and the gorgeous scenery of Orcas Island beautifully. Our pictures look so natural because he is very skilled at capturing the moment without having to tell you to awkwardly pose. We can't praise his work enough - the best money we spent on our wedding day! We are SO HAPPY we decided to go with Robert.

I cannot say enough good things about Robert. We asked him to capture our mini wedding on Lopez. He was so helpful in picking great spots and times of day to work with us. We had the ceremony at one location and then a dinner/toast at another. He was so gracious to capture the whole day for us and was so lovely and friendly. We are planning to work with Robert on future pictures with our family and would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for wedding/elopement or even just family photos.

He captured special moments beautifully, and managed to take amazing candid photos of our guests. He was also incredibly kind, professional, and laid-back in his approach. Robert Harrison was super professional, quietly present and got every important shot needed and many more spontaneous shots. Been to weddings where photographer was too present, even walking down aisle with bride, but Robert was subtle and perfectly placed. Great results. Would recommend him always.
