In the summer of 2004, Paleterias Tropicana began with a single concept: serving homemade, authentic Mexican ice cream to a growing Hispanic market. We decided to open our first paleteria, a small but pleasant and friendly place where people could enjoy a flavorful and 100% natural ice cream, Michoacan style.
Paleterias Tropicana didn't stop there! In addition to the authentic fruit-laden Mexican ice cream and paletas freshly made on site, Paleterias Tropicana now offers and extensive menu of fruit cocktails, smoothies, churros, and traditional Mexican lunch and dinner food items.

I waited a little under an hour to get a water, an ice cream and four cups of corns. It does not take that long to do. I have been to two other locations and have not had to wait that long for the same thing. There was like ten employees working so it’s quite interesting to see that some of them weren’t even doing anything. One of the employees were giving me weird stares while other one was completely rude when I asked a question. You don’t raise your voice and say something rudely to a customer.

Having waited almost a year to try this place out and boy was it worth the wait! Stopped in for breakfast and we ordered chorizo and eggs, ham and eggs, and chilaquiles and eggs with horchata and strawberry agua fresca to drink- all the meals were cooked perfectly and oh so delicious! Now don't judge me, but after that we then ordered chocolate churrros, plátano frito, and a double mangoneada with pineapple. Again, all were utterly delicious and if I hadn't already been stuffed from breakfast..that second round of food would've been completely devoured as well! So if you haven't tried this place

Made a quick stop for some stuffed churros of chocolate and strawberry. Good as always the churros. Decided to get a corn in a cup, but asked first if it was made from an actual corn on a cob or can corn. She said actual corn on a cob. The can corn taste to water down . Sure enough thats what it taste. If it is from actual cob they need to definitely drain them better before serving it in a cup. Tasted nasty at end mayonnaise with water. Hope it doesn't upset my stomach. Definitely won't ever be asking for that.
