Thank you for doing a great job on installing my PV system. Everyone that came to my home was polite and eager to accommodate my requests. I was also very pleased that foot traffic on the roof caused some shingles to be damaged, but your guys replaced them without me asking.
Sam was particularly polite and exceeded my expectations in connecting the equipment on my garage with the solar system on the roof. He also did a superb job in connecting the system to my network. At the end of each day, there was no evidence that your techs were working around and on my home. There was a lot of packing material

PhotonWorks took care of my PV system and I couldn't have been happier with the entire process. From the very first consultation, to the install, to the post-install follow-up, they have been prompt and thorough. I was walked through the entire process with recommendations based on my electric bill. I was given an expected start date of my project which they greatly exceeded and came out much earlier than expected. Maybe I was just lucky there. The folks at Photonworks Engineering made our investment in solar so smooth. They were the most professional of the 4 solar contractors we met with. Their proposal was clear, understandable and competitive -- and their assessment and recommendations were very helpful in the leadup to the installation. One of my concerns was the timeline for the start and completion of the project. As it turned out, everything was installed and commissioned on time and without a hitch! The Photonworks Team did an outstanding job installing my solar and battery system. I took into consideration several companies when I began researching going solar. The technical expertise from the salesperson made it very easy for me to understand the inner workings of all the equipment and how it was going to save me money. When it came time to do the installation the crew arrived on time and worked diligently. Working with Photonworks was a great experience. All I knew about PV systems was that I wanted/needed one + battery back ups when we rebuilt our home.
I had spoken to other companies and was so dissatisfied with my experiences.
My first conversation with Mr. Paul Orem was unlike any I had experienced with the other pv companies - as I thought I was speaking to a marketing/sales person, I didn't quite know what to make of our first conversation as nothing felt like a sales or marketing pitch - just straight forward information.

I recently had a NEM+ system installed along with replacement of my "legacy" Enphase micro-inverters. Initially, I chose PhotonWorks because their CEO, Paul Orem provided the most comprehensive proposal I have ever seen from a PV company and their pricing was reasonable if not the lowest. As an engineering firm, their business appears to be diverse reducing the odds of them going under if the PV market starts to tank after the tax credits expire.
Now that the job is completed, I was really pleased with the professionalism, responsiveness and service that PhotonWorks Engineering staff

While their pricing is competitive and reasonable, what puts them above other companies is their service, knowledge and professionalism. Paul is extremely knowledgeable and gave us all necessary info. He was there to answer any and all questions. Nainoa and his crew were the ones who did our electrical and installation. I had 26 mono-PV panels installed on my home in Ewa in 2013 and zero issues since.
- Great price (best off all estimates by FAR, noting I did a lot of research and got 7-8 quotes before purchasing).
- Best service, no issues with HECO and net metering and only had to wait about 3 weeks on the install once they accepted the job.
- Best equipment. Best/new state of the art and most reliable equipment (stayed away from the unreliable Enphase inverters and went with power optimizers and central inverters... hence the "no issues" with the system) .

I found this business while I was searching thru a list from the GEM Finance organization that I qualified with. But I eventually went with ( HSFCU ) instead. I did the normal email or called and left a message. When I received the call back from a Rich Taylor at the time. It was not what he was selling. But what he said that caught my attention. Because these individuals know the process very well. I can say from the start to the end. ( Oct 2015 thru Jan 2015 ) With the constant open communication. I chose photon works, however, because of they were one of two companies to offer a different approach to my panels, even though it was probably a more difficult installation. This allowed for a much more aesthetically pleasing configuration.
My house also has an odd roof that caused unforeseen increased installation costs for photon works. They did not pass this cost on to me!

We were beyond impressed and happy with the service, installation, quality and price. We consulted Greenpath and Revulsun. Greenpath was really cheap but not as knowledgeable and didn't have the high return panels we were looking for. Revulsun was super expensive but you don't get a better panel. We did extensive research on our own as well. Photonworks are not in the business of marketing. They didn't try and upsell. Their costs were low but we will still got high output panels. They did a flawless installation. Panels are very close together no extra spacing or wiring showing.

Photonworks is the solar company to choose! We wanted to do a trellis over our courtyard instead of putting panels on the roof and this was the company most knowledgeable about this type of install. Their price was very competitive and customer service is great. We're very happy with the end product and can't wait to see our electric bill!

Great job, top notch service with amazing products and value. They not only did my home but did several of my friends homes and businesses. Has the experience and know-how to get you through the solar jungle. Hear of horror stories from people going with the wrong company and how expensive that mistake was. Thank god I did not go through that and hopefully you are reading this and don't make that mistake.
