You may be keenly interested in developing your own settlement terms and want to leave the court out of it. Collaborative law allows just that. The new process isn't for everyone. Who's going to keep the house? Do retirement plans get divided in divorce? Does the cottage have to be sold? Particularly if you own a business, it's important to make wise decisions about property since the impact will last well into the future.
Mediation or collaborative law not for you? You might be able to work with your partner to develop a settlement. If you aren't sure how, a mediator can assist you to understand the issues and develop a solid agreement. We have helped hundreds of parents navigate the adoption process. Whether you are placing or adopting a baby, adopting a child for whom you've been guardian, or are a stepparent who is parenting, we love helping you become family!

I’m incredibly grateful to have had Deb Berecz as my guide through this major life transition. She was sensitive, considerate and thorough. I felt clear on my options at every decision point and confident that she always had my best interest in mind. I highly recommend Deb and the collaborative divorce process as a whole. All parties were considered equal and treated with respect.

Deborah Berecz is a very professional mediator lawyer. She is kind and understanding, she is helpful with all the legal matters when children are involved in a divorce and offer guidance on how to approach children's welfare. If you are trying to find someone to help to take somebody to the cleaner, Deborah Berecz is not that person. She would mediate between the two parts involved to get the financial, parenting and everything that involves a divorce with fairness results for both parts involved.

Deborah Berecz is an intelligent and compassionate lawyer. Her firm aided us in coming to terms with our divorce by negotiating across the table instead of fighting in court, which can be brutal. Divorce is hard enough. With her knowledge and guidance we were able to make an agreement with very little problems. If you would like your divorce handled with less arguments and more reconciliation between all parties I highly recommend her.
