McKay Drilling has drilled hundreds of water wells since 1962 in the Reno, NV and Northern California areas. We drill our wells with state of the art modern equipment. The Atlas Copco TH60 rotary drill is well suited for drilling wells. It is capable of drilling with air, mud and flooded reverse. It has the power and pullback to drill those deeper wells.
Your pump system will be set up to meet the wells water production and your individual water needs. When bentonite mud is required for drilling, we use our portable mud pit and shaker which minimizes damage to surrounding landscaping and terrain. Some older wells require abandonment. All well abandonments are performed to State of Nevada Water Resources standards and regulation.

After worrying about my well for years, the inevitable occurred and I lost water pressure from my well. I decided to try McKay Drilling since my neighbor had received less than great service from our local Spanish Springs outfit. Mike Kasper, the well tech came out to my home in Palomino Valley in about an hour and set to work diagnosing my well issues. He marveled at the age of my equipment (33 years). He replaced the pressure gauge, pump relay and got the storage tanks back to optimum pressure. However, the well still lacked pressure from the pump. He returned two days later and pulled

I think its incredible that you can still reach steve mckay by phone directly. How often does one have bad experiences with CS and the owner of the business never gets to hear of how poorly their staff treats customers. The unfavorable feedback is filtered through CS, their managers and the manager of the manager. I think its incredible that you Steve McKay make yourself available for your customers, past or present. I never had but the best most honest service from you and I'm very grateful for that. Pump was beginning to give us trouble. Tech came out .. surveyed the situation and we decided to replace the pump.
The access to the pump was a pain to get to. The tech was able to manuver his rig right to the location.
Come to find out pump had been working for twenty(20) years. Was drawing excess amps, 16 when should have only been drawing 10.5.... pump was on the way out.
Check valve at the tank was also leaking ..
BOTTOM LINE .. NEW PUMP, Down Tube, other stuff .. Working like a champ.
