I liked working with the same person who gave me the quote. John saw the scope of work and set honest expectations much better then the others I talked to. He also offered and did stucco crack repair that nobody else offered, it looks great! His personal touch, f/u and hands on to fix unusual problems was a real plus.
James Hardie provides innovative siding products that increase the beauty, value, safety and durability of your home. Enjoy the low maintenance that comes with baked-on color, and feel safe knowing that our siding products are resistant to just about anything Mother Nature can throw at them. HardiePlank(R) lap siding is the most popular brand of siding in America and can be found on over 4 million homes.
A new porch or deck can add beauty, functionality and value to your home. Beginning with decks, still the most popular choice for decking material is pressure treated Southern yellow pine. Pressure treated wood often comes with a warranty against decay and termite damage, for the lifetime of the original purchaser.

John knows what he is doing with homebuilding. That is clear; he and his crew do good work. On the other hand, he does not provide customer service. These are some examples: driving up to the house and spitting out the side door, calling the birds perched on our house "little f****rs," picking fruit off of our tree and throwing it across the property, not calling me back when he said he would, giving us a date when he would come by to sign and get the check then changing it four different times over the course of a week and a half, giving us the date when work would begin then not showing

NOT best in town
I'm not sure about his other reviews but my experience was not good. John Temmel is a measure once cut twice kind of contractor. I had siding, windows and doors done. Half the windows and two doors were measured wrong and had to be reordered. The windows he sold me on were not the same as what he installed (Bait and Switch). The siding was done poorly (wavy). The worst part was his painters, my kids could have done a better job. They were very messy and left garbage all over my yard, I'm still cleaning up. This job is still going on and it's been five months. My
